Karentina snaps to attention, backing up a little, but then thinks again and makes sure her hair is in front of her eye and smoothes her dress. she stares at the ground a couple feet in front of her, still fiddling with the piece of wood.

Ace was the first to appear, quickly walking to Olive but then stops when noticing the lady standing next to her. "Did you make a new friend, Liv?" Ace asks, his voice as smooth as marble. "Yep! This is Karentina. Ace, Karentina, Karentina, Ace." Olive says, energetically.

"hello..." she says it quietly, but it was still audible. "nice to meet you..." she fiddles with the wood enough to make it snap in two, and she drops both pieces after it does. her fingers flit up to her hair and starts messing with some strands.

Then comes Damian, pulling Jasper along. "What happened?" Olive inquires to the couple. "Jasper scared off a deer I was about to feed." Damian replies, miffed. "The deer was a jerk anyways, it pushed me over into the wet moss, and now my pants are all soggy." Jasper complains.
"You deserved it though..." Ace mutters.
Jasper glares at Ace, "WHAT WAS THAT, LIZARD?!" Ace backs off, "Nothing." Jasper huffs, "Yeah, that's what I thought..." -
Karentina stares at them, a blank look on her face. she doesn't say anything, not yet. instead, she bends over, seeing a dying plant, and passes a hand over it, restoring its health.

Damian is trying to calm Jasper down. While Ace is talking to Olive, he sees what Karentina did. "Do you wield the ways of Constitution?" (He meant healing powers. Whenever I'm doing a fantasy rp, I always use DnD references in it.)

(yo, no way. DnD is awesome! Karentina is my DnD oc lol) "ah... i was hoping no one saw that... yea, i do..." she says, a shy smile appearing on her lips as she straightens up and starts messing with her hair again

Olive peers over Ace's shoulder and gasps, "THAT'S SO COOL! I wield the way of nature. Basically, I'm mother nature's disciple." She says, jokingly.

"that isn't the only thing i can do..." she closes her eyes and concentrates, and soon there was another deer standing in the clearing, drawn to it by Karentina. "...i understand animals too." she looks at Leif. "He says he's hungry again." she kneels to the ground and digs a little until she finds some earthworms. she holds them out to Olive. "here. i think he wants these."

Olive's eyes were full of stars, "That. is. INCREDIBLE. You're incredible, Karentina!' She feeds Leif the earthworm and he swallows it whole.

she lets out another tinkling laugh. "my father insisted i learn when i was really younger, so it's just about as easy as breathing now." she pulls a hair tie out of a hidden pocket of her dress, and pulls her hair back out of her face, leaving the hair in front of her eye alone.

Leif, Clover, Clemmy (Damian's conure), and Bandit (Jasper's ferret) go and frolic together. Everyone else stands in silence. Olive breaks the awkward silence, "So Karentina, if you can speak to all animals, what is Ace and Damian thinking?" (Damian is a satyr and Ace is a dragonborn)

"i... uh... " she looks at each of them. "i'm not really comfortable looking into other people's minds, only animals... sorry..." she does actually look apologetic, but her family told her not to look into other people's minds.

Jasper scoffs, "But they're still animals though."
Olive shoots Jasper a stern look, "Then what are you?"
"A GOD-"
Damian flicks Jasper's forehead. "You're a half-elf." -
Karentina giggles, amused by the other's actions. she looks at the deer that was somehow still in the clearing and gives it a sly smile. it nods in understanding. it trots over to Jasper and kicks him in the leg. "people aren't animals." she says, giggling. "but animals can act like people sometimes."
