“Only a week, huh?” Jacob stared out into the fields full of flowers, watching the dandelion seeds float higher and higher into the air. “Are you sure that you don’t wish for more than that?”
-
"I do," Tessa staring up at the seeds. "But some things are more important."
-
Jacob tilts his head to the right, intrigued by her words. “When you said ‘some things are more important,’ are you referring to the children in the orphanage?”
-
Tessa nodded. She looked up at the sky and saw that it was high noon. "Do you have lunch?" she asked.
-
“Lunch?” Jacob looked down at his watch, his eyes widening slightly once he sees how much time has passed by. “Oh dang, it’s already lunchtime. Time flew by really fast! As for lunch, we could stop by the kitchen and grab some sandwiches and other things if you’d like?”
-
Tessa smiled and nodded. She began to head inside with Jacob. Three meals a day? She was used to two, breakfast and supper. Miss Javelin wouldn't let them take food from the kitchen even for school, and she wouldn't let them sign up for school lunches either.

(Aw :()
“Is there anything specific you wish to eat?” Jacob inquired as they headed inside of the mansion. The air was quiet, their footsteps being the only sounds in the hallway they had just entered. “You could put in a request to the kitchen chef. He cooks many various dishes, such as lobsters, steak, and quite a bit more.” -
"I don't know much of what there is," Kenna admitted. "The meals I've always had were rather... repetitive." Meaning the same thing every morning for breakfast and the same thing every evening for supper.
-
“Well in that case, what have you always dreamed of eating?” Jacob asked.
-
Kenna thought for a moment. Everything would be the correct answer, but she couldn't chose that. "Alfredo," she finally decided. "Chicken alfredo."
(They're not close enough romantically for it to be spaghetti lol) -
(Of course not u_u)
(how did you know I was going to crack a joke about that)
“Chicken alfredo? Is that all?” -
(You always do)
"You can't realistically make every type of food known to man," Kenna said. "So yes." -
(You really can read me like an open book holy spaghetti)
“Well, our chef is a very dedicated man when it comes to cooking. I’m sure he won’t find it troublesome if you order more than one thing.” Jacob assured her. -
"I don't even know how much I'm going to eat," Tessa said. I don't want to waste food. Just the alfredo is good for now."
-
“It won’t be wasted. We usually store away leftover food in containers for if we desire to eat it again.” Jacob informed her as they passed through many doors.
