Julia floated on her back, staring up at the sky as the water licked her ears. She sighed contentedly, wanting to freeze this moment and live in it forever.
"I've never actually showed anyone this place before," she said, half to herself. "It always felt like I had to keep it a secret. I don't feel that way anymore." -
"That's cool," Aiden said, floating beside Julia.
( no braindead at all :') ) -
Mood XD))
Julia tried to judge the time. It was maybe, what, 5 o'clock by now? She tried to remember what time it had been when she delivered the flowers. It wasn't dark yet, but it could be soon. -
( literally xD )
``So, are we gonna just keep floating here or are we gonna do something else?`` Aiden said, glancing over to Julia. -
"Fair point. We should probably get out before it gets cold," she said in a melancholy, disappointed tone.
-
``Yeah,`` Aiden agreed, nodding. He swam over to the shore, getting out of the water.
-
Julia followed him and wrung her hair out, dripping water everywhere. She decided not to pick up her phone while she was soaking wet.
-
Aiden ran a hand through his soaked hair before wringing out his shirt, trying to not be extremely soaked. ``Honestly, today's been really fun,`` he said with a smile, glancing over to Julia.
-
"It has," Julia mused thoughtfully, smiling. "I know this is going to sound really lame, but I haven't really hung out with anyone in a long time. Feels good."
-
"Same, honestly. I don't think I've had this much fun since," Aiden said, his words trailing to a stop. He sighed, staring down at the ground.
-
Julia looked at him, her brows furrowed with concern as she fixed him under her soft green gaze, reading his expression.
"What's wrong?" she asked. -
``Nothing. Just uh, remembering old memories,`` Aiden said with a quiet chuckle, crossing his arms.
-
Julia went to touch his shoulder comfortingly but hovered her hand hesitantly before drawing it back, her gaze flickering off into the distance before falling back on Aiden.
"Are they good ones?" she said with a questioning shrug. -
``Eh, this one in particular isn't,`` he said, tapping his finger against his arm. He involuntarily shook his head, uncrossing his arms. ``It's in the past now, though.``
-
"Do you want to talk about it or...?" Julia drifted off, letting Aiden's mind fill in the blanks.
