"Just a little further!" Jessie encouraged Error in a positive tone as they travelled to the soft lights. "We'll be there soon. In the meantime, why not tell me about yourself?"

He turned his head towards them and blinked in confusion "hu?"

"You know, your nicknames, age, stuff you like," Jessie said. "Things like that! I know your full name: Erratum. That's about it."

"Oh." He said quietly, looking away in thought. Eventually he answered "I like not hurting?" In a hesitant, almost childish manner as he looked back at her

Jessie blinked blankly at Error for a moment. "It's a start," they decided. "Is there anything else? Like uh, what's your favorite color?"

Error clicked quietly in thought, before eventually answering with "blue" -
"Blue like the sky?" Jessie said, starting to adopt the sort of tone you'd use with a small child. "Or like the ocean, like water?"

He hesitated before responding "blue like my blood

"Ah," Jessie said. "I mean it is arguably a pretty color, but let's not make a habit of seeing it, shall we? I'd definitely prefer you NOT being hurt."

He tilted his head but nodded

They made it to the lights, which turned out to be a comfy looking town that radiated warmth and safety. Delicious smells wafted towards them from a nearby inn, which Jessie made a beeline for.

Error was hesitant to follow them, feeling nervous

The inn was filled with a bunch of rowdy and partially drunk people, some singing a sort of sea shanty. Jessie folded in their wings which seemed to disappear, holding out their hand to Error.
"Here, will you hold my hand so we don't get separated?" they said. -
Error paused for a moment before reaching out to take their hand,being freezing cold to the touch
