Error flinched slightly when the fire flaired up, his wing nubs twitching as he dig his claws into his arm. "Nothing, I'm fine" he said
-
"I can put it out if you'd like," Jessie offered, seeing him flinch. "It's alright if you don't like fire. Not many people do."
-
"Its fine" he said, guilt creeping into his chest. He noticed they seemed to like the fire and didn't want them to be upset due to his fears
-
Jessie eventually decided to drop the subject and began making a makeshift nest in their bed, occasionally flapping their wings in agitation when a wrinkle wouldn't straight or something silly like that.
-
Error watched her for a few minutes before seetong his h a a on his knees, feeling tired
-
-
Jessie put a blanket over Error, patting his head with an odd sense of affection. They were attached to this strange new friend. "Good night."
-
Error flinched slightly at the first pat, but relaxed into the next few. He made a quiet purring sound in response, seeming tired
-
Jessie couldn't help but smile. Error was absolutely precious. They curled into their little nest, their wings unfolded and protectively guarding a pillow.
-
Error idly tugged the blanket tighter around himself, feeling a little confused at the familiar comfort it brought
-
The nighttime hours slowly dripped by and by the time the sun rose faintly over the horizon, Jessie was already awake for some strange reason. Early bird, perhaps?
-
Error woke up as the sun came up, his eyes snapping open as he looked around in alarm. It took him a few seconds to register his surroundings, calming down afterwards
-
The fire had fizzled out at some point, the embers faintly glowing. Jessie ran into the window and fell onto the floor, stunned. It was snowing outside and the world was blanketed with powdery frost.
-
Error blinked at them in confusion, tilting his head at them "are you ok?"
-
"Y-Yeah," Jessie stuttered, rubbing their forehead to ward off dizziness. "I just can't see windows that well."
