"I'm sure you need sleep so we'll make better progress in light," Jessie said, getting up and stretching. "I'll find us a room, shall I?"
-
Error nodded in agreement, but seemed uncertain if he should follow them or stay
-
Jessie got up and went to talk to the innkeeper as a burly looking dude decided that it was the perfect time to try picking on Error.
The man shoved him, not hard enough to knock him out of his seat but hard enough to make the chair rock. "I want to sit there. Get up." -
Error immediately twisted around when he was touched, the crimson runs lighting up over his bones as his glaive appeared in his grasp, the razor sharp blade pressed against the humans throat "Don't. Touch. Me." He hissed
-
Not expecting this, the man backed up a little bit before realizing he looked like a wimp. He pulled out two daggers from his belt, a vicious sneer on his face. "I'm not scared of you."
Jessie started becoming aware of what was going on and quickly grabbed their key card. "Let's go. We shouldn't waste our time on this mortal." -
Error sneered at the human, sensing his fear while tilting his head towards Jessie "i guess your right, the inn keeper doesn't need any bloodstains on their floor" he said as he spun his glaive on his hand, the weapon vanishing
-
As they were walking away, the man tossed a knife of some sorts at them. Jessie caught it in their hand and threw it into the floor, where it stuck with a solid thunk. "I've never done that successfully before," they whispered happily to Error.
-
Error snorted softly at that, seeming amused
-
The man, having lost his reputation, decided to throw a "manly" tantrum and pick on another person. Jessie skipped up the stairs and unlocked their room. It was cozy with two beds and a fireplace ready to be set ablaze.
-
Error looked around the room curiously, slowly walking into it
-
Jessie sat down next to the fireplace, starting a nice, crackly warm fire. They let their wings spread out, causing a few feathers to flutter down once more.
-
Error hesitated before sitting down next to them, his wing nubs twitching
-
"Isn't the fire pretty? It's awfully hot though," Jessie said, preening themself as the fire spat sparks out at them.
-
Error made a quiet sound of agreement, though the nervous look on his face didn't match up with it
-
Jessie plucked out a feather and tossed it into the fire, where it was engulfed by a flash of blue flames, before fading to their regular red glow. They glanced at Error and noticed their concerned expression.
"Hey, what's wrong?" they said in a gentle tone.
