"I'm not sure where to start if you can't sense your wings," Jessie said with a frown. "Do you remember when they took them?"

He shook his head" i don't ever remember having them." He said,

"Oh," Jessie said, looking slightly disappointed. "What is the earliest thing you can remember?"

He thought about it for all of two seconds before his eyelights shrank to tiny pinpriks and he was thrown into a panic attack, clawing at himself in terror

Jessie pulled his claws away, straining to keep a grip on the other's wrists as they gently wrapped their wings around him.

Error made a choked noise as he struggled against them, hiccupong as he started to cry

"Hey, it's okay! Hold still, relax," Jessie said soothingly, slowly bringing Error towards the ground in case they collapsed. "You're okay."

"Imsorryimsorrywontdoitagainpleasestopithurts" he cried as his wing nubs violent twitched

Jessie looked at Error's eyes, their own filled with concern. "What's wrong? What hurts?"

Error hiccuped, making a clawing motion towards his wing nubs. Now that they where holding him, Jessie would be able to see what appeared to be metal rods embedded in the bone of his wing nubs

A cold shiver ran down Jessie's back. "What did they do to you?" they said, sounding horrified. They were afraid to even touch the rods in case it caused Error more pain.

He shivered and quickly shook his head, trying to calm back down

"I'm sorry, it was cruel of me to make you remember," Jessie said, shaking their mop of red hair. "I won't do it again."

"Thank you" me managed to get out, focusing on his breathing

"Do you think I could get the rods out?" Jessie said anxiously.
