It had been an entire week since Natalia had last seen Cade.
She had already had her trial and had been given a life sentence.
Why had she not seen it before? Had she been blinded by her feelings for him?
She knew that if she escaped she'd be punished by Linnus as well.
These two topics going back and forth in her head eventually came to one conclusion.
Linnus was going to try and kill Cade. -
Cade couldn’t take it anymore. He couldn’t live with the fact that he had given Natalia a life sentence in prison. He snuck under the radar to get to her one night. He had made sure that he was prepared. And he was going to break her out. Cade reached her cell. He didn’t expect her to forgive him right away, but he was ready to try to earn it. “Nat,” he whispered to her when he found her.

Natalia's head jerked up at Cade's voice. How had he gotten past the guards and such? Oh wait, she remembered, he's from the government, he can do that. She glared at him through the cold metal bars. He had put her here. She was going to die rotting in a cell.

“I’m going to break you out.” He said to her. He continued to speak as he opened the jail cell. “I’m sorry. I made a terrible mistake, and I have no excuse for it. I haven’t been able to sleep for the past week because of it.”

Natalia set her jaw. He seemed sincere. "Why should I trust you," she said quietly.

“I don’t expect you to after what I did...” Cade responded softly. He looked down. He was ashamed of himself. After a time, he has developed feelings for her and he knew that. And he had abandoned her. I’m such a douchebag.

She could tell he really was filled with remorse. She stood up. and walked over to him. "There's security cameras," she whispered so that said cameras couldn't hear her. "How're you going to get me out?"

Cade looked up to Natalia. “I already took care of those,” he said. “We should be able to get out.”

Natalia looked at him in surprise. "What about the guards?"

Cade shrugged. “People trust me here,” he said. “I can walk in and out of here as I please, and it won’t be too difficult to scream you by I believe.”

She raised her eyebrows. "I've been accused of trying to kill the president," she said. "I think they'll notice me."

“Well I did just get security clearance recently, so they wing suspect and thing when I come and go. I also made it so the security cameras showed something different then what’s going on now. I believe it should work.”

Natalia was undoubtedly impressed. "But then we'll have the word of multiple other guards against the cameras." There were people that guarded the main entrances and things like that.

Cade smiled slightly. “Don’t worry; I took care of that problem. It should be clear for us to go.”
