Cade had to use all his willpower to keep himself from crying. To keep himself from letting Natalia go and keeping her from harm forever. He couldn't do this to her. He couldn't turn her in. But he had to. Cade closed his eyes for a minute and then brought Natalia to the people waiting for him. "She's one of the agents. You... can take h-her." He said shakily as he handed Natalia over. -
Natalia felt chills traveling down her spine and arms. She was being dragged towards the security guards, unable to walk because her ankles were cuffed.
"I trusted you," she whispered. -
(Ok that's it, I just died ToT)
A pang of regret slammed into Cade's heart and his face was contorted with sadness. He couldn't bear to hear those words. He couldn't bear to see Natalia's face as the guards dragged her away. He turned away and began to exit the room to go home. He just needed to be alone at the moment. But as he left, Cade couldn't shake the feeling of pain that lingered over him. -

Natalia tried to fight back, but she was quickly put down. She was shoved into a car with bars around the windows and between the front seat and the space between the front and back seats -

"That was great, Ridges," A voice stated from behind Cade as an arm slung around his shoulder. "You made America proud today." As Cade turned to see who it was, he saw his boss. He shouldn't have, but Cade then quite rudely shook the man's arm off of his shoulder and walked away. He went home and cried. He didn’t know what to do. -
Natalia knew she was going to be charged with attempted assassination of the president. Cade would show them the gun, or once they searched her they'd find all the weapons within the hidden pockets of her dress.
She knew her punishment was going to be severe whether it was from the law or from Linnus. -
It was now the next day. It was ordered that Cade should go to reveal where the gun was and to give more information on the situation and Linnus. Something told him to avoid the meeting, but he ignored it, no matter how much he didn't want to ignore it. Cade entered the meeting room and the first thing he saw was Natalia. "Nat..." He breathed out quietly. Grief struck him like a hurricane.

Natalia's heart hurt and she felt a harsh tingling sensation moving across her skin that almost hurt. "Don't call me that," she said quietly as she glared up at him.
Her dress was gone and instead, she wore prisoner's garb. Her brown hair was a mess around her face and her blue eyes held pain. -
Cade was a complete mess on the inside. And when Natalia told him not to call her Nat, he became worse. His green eyes were deep pools of regret and pain but the rest of his face showed no emotion. You could gather his emotions from just his eyes though. "Are you ok, Ridges?" Cade's boos asked him. "I'm fine," Cade responded, sounding a bit harsher than he meant to.

Natalia just down at her cuffed hands. not saying anything, waiting for whatever was about to happen to start.

"So, do you have the gun?" The man asked Cade, "Yes..." Cade muttered as he gently placed it on the table.

Natalia glanced at the gun quickly then looked back down. Cade was going to blame her. She knew he was.

"Agent Connelly was going to assassinate the president. The gun was part of the plan." Cade said slowly, regretting every word that left his mouth. He looked down at his feet, not bearing to look up at Natalia.

She had been right.
Natalia wondered how much of what he had told her had been fake. They weren't friends anymore. Maybe he had never seen her as a friend. He had played with her heart. -
Cade was dismissed and he went home. Warm tears slipped down his face as he walked home. Her wiped them from his cheeks, but he still couldn’t ignore the fact that he had messed everything up. Cade lied, sleepless, on his bed through the nights for an entire week, conflicted.
