"Porak," Thalia said in a warning voice. Whatever he said would pretty much determine whether she would allow him in the house or not. "I want a real answer."

"Sorry, Mrs. Thalia. Basically Cassie got harassed by some gang at the school and I swooped in to save her. From then on, I've been wanting to protect her." Porak mumbled.
He nervously fiddled with his fingers. He was trying to say the right things, but usually didn't end up doing so. -
"From what Cassie told me, it was your gang," Thalia narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yes, but I didn't tell them to do it! In fact, I punished them very severely for doing so.” Porak said quickly. -
"So you're expecting me to entrust my daughter to someone who can't even control his own gang," Thalia said matter-of-factly.

"Well, he just wanted to make me proud." Porak said. "I have a feeling whoever looks up to you would take any measures necessary to make the people they admire proud. Even without consent."

"And the fact that one of your little followers thought that making you proud meant attacking an innocent girl doesn't upset you?" Thalia said.

"They usually attack innocent guys. Not girls." Porak said.

"Well look, they attacked a defenseless girl, thinking it would make you proud," Thalia said.

(I'm surprised that Thalia hasn't sued Porak’s family-)
“And I am NOT proud about that." -
"You'd better up your game," Thalia said. "Or else you will not be welcome here."

Porak gulped and nodded his head, apologizing and thanking Thalia.
