(Aw Callyn, you poor thing :()
Turner had just finished dishing out the stir fry. He stared at Callyn, concern written all over is face.
“Is everything all right?” Turner asked. -
Callyn let out a huff. "My mom is remarrying my father," she said. "Do you know how messed up that is?!"
-
Turner's jaw dropped. It took a few seconds of gaping at her before he could give her a solid response, his ears a slight shade of red from anger.
“That’s not right at all! Who do they think they are?” Turner exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. -
"Ugh let's just forget about it, I don't want to think about it" Callyn said as she took her plate. She let out a harsh chuckle. "Funny how all the drama in our lives are caused by other people, huh."
-
“If only we could run away to a place where nobody knows our names.” Turner sighed, solemn. “Honestly, at this point maybe we have to look and see who truly loves us for who we are and what we choose to do, and who doesn’t.”
-
"Well for that basically leaves you and Mamita and her family," Callyn said. They were pretty much the only people she was around anyway. Everyone else was from her past trying to drag her back with them.
-
“Those are the only people who love you for who you are?” Turner asked in a low whisper, shocked. “To think that a girl with a beautiful heart such as yours wouldn’t attract kindhearted people is beyond me.”
-
Callyn gave him a little smile at his compliment then said, "I guess that's just the way it happened." She took a bite of her food then asked, "What about you? Friends I haven't met yet, cousins, anything like that?"
-
Turner stared down at his plate of food.
“Not many people. I have you, and while I’m not as close to Mamita and her family as you are, I would want to keep contact with them. There was also this babysitter I had when I was younger. I called him Mr. Felix. He was wonderful with kids. However, he was fired by my dad, so I don’t know where he is now.” -
"Well, maybe we'll find him someday," Callyn said, putting a reassuring hand on his. "Until then, we should look at expanding our social circles," she said with a little laugh.
-
Turner couldn’t help but chuckle at that.
“How would we do that? Would we pick out a random person on the beach?” He joked. -
"A good question that I don't know the answer to," Callyn said. "Maybe opportunities will just open up for us as time moves on."
(We should probably do a timeskip soon. Maybe to the concert? Unless you have another idea.) -
(That sounds good to me! :D)
Turner nodded his head as he stared off into the distance. He smiled softly.
“Yeah, opportunities.” He whispered.
A couple of days passed, and suddenly it was the day of the concert. Turner was quickly fastening a tie to his jacket backstage, whilst complaing to Callyn about how loud the noises out the cheering crowd was.
“It’s sure to blow out my eardrums one of these days!” He sighed, still struggling with his tie. -
"If it hasn't blown out your ears already over the past however many years, I doubt it'll be much different this time," she said with a small laugh.
(Maybe somewhere around here is where the jealous Turner fans see him being affectionate towards Callyn?) -
(OHOHO I HAVE AN IDEA >:))
(QUITE A SINISTER PLAN, IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF)
Turner laughed along with her. After a few more minutes, he still hadn’t managed to fasten his tie. “A little help, pretty please?” He asked, staring at Callyn with puppy dog eyes in a joking manner.
