Callyn was silent as she shook her head. She was just going to leave it in Turner's hands. She walked up to the entrance of the building and opened the door for Turner.
-
Turner shook his head briefly and pried the door handle from Callyn’s hands.
"Nope, nuh uh, I’ll hold the door open for you.” He declared. -
"Okay,' Callyn shrugged and walked inside. They were currenltin the couches and recliners area.
-
(Bro I wrote a whole big detailed paragraph and then my phone died)
(Whilst charging)
Turner's gaze settled down on one of the big soft rocking chairs that fathers of a family could be seen sitting on. It came in a set with a white couch, which was the exact thing that caught Turner's eye in the first place. He hopped onto the rocking chair and fiddled with the settings on the remote. Like those chairs in the mall, it had a massage button. Fancy shmancy, ooo la la!
"Callyn, come look at this!” Turner said with a boyish squeal. -
Callyn smiled as she looked at him. She was a little surprised he didn't have one of those in his own house, but still, his reaction was funny.
-
As if reading her mind, Turner turned to her with a huge grin on his face.
"The one I have at my house is only capable of rocking. This is like, a luxurious chair for me.” He said. -
"I"m just surprised you don't have a massaging chair in your house," she said. "But come on, we don't need one of those."
-
"Yes we do!” Turner protested, a small pout on his face. “We can buy two of them so you and J both have one. Just imagine having a rocking chair contest!”
-
Callyn raised a brow. "A rocking chair contest?" she shook her head. "I don't really want one anyway." She tried to pull Turner out of the chair. "Come on."
-
Turner clung to the chair with both of his hands, playfully glaring at Callyn.
“No, you need a rocking chair!” He searched his mind for scraps of logical reasoning. Unfortunately, he was reckless in doing so. “Just imagine… uh, say that we had a big happy family! You and I would be sitting in the adult chairs while the kids would sit in the… oh!”
Turner flushed a bright shade of red at his sudden outburst. That wasn’t logical reasoning at all, that was a dream! -
Callyn pulled Turner out of the chair. "Well, rocking chairs eventually start creaking, which could get kind of annoying. So how about we find a comfortable chair that won't creak?"
-
“How about we get a chair that doesn’t creak and a rocking chair?”
-
"No negotiations," Callyn said. "We need to move quick if we want to get as much done as possible today. And I get the final say since it's my house."
-
Turner sighed, a small laugh being drawn out of his lips as he finally stood up from the chair.
"All right, you've got me there,” He chuckled. He put his hands on his hips and looked around the room. “But what couch do you want?” -
Callyn looked around. "Not black I know," she said. Other than that I'm not sure. "Let's go see."
As they walked over to the couches, Callyn felt hesitant about saying something that was on her mind. She wanted to say it, but she wasn't sure what the outcome would be.
Just as they reached the couch section she finally got the nerve to say it. "Turner," she said softly. "I don't want you to call me your friend when it's just us." She could feel him tense beside her. She quickly kept talking to let him know it wasn't what he thought it was. "It's just that I know we both have feelings for each other, but I'm not ready. And when you call me your friend it makes me wonder if you've...if you've given up on me. You could loose feelings for me and I wouldn't even know it." She looked up at him. So when it's just us, don't call me your friend. Not until you've lost feelings for me."
