Jewel caught the shoes. "Gee thanks..." she said.
The man smirked. "With pleasure."
The ruffian tried to land a punch on Adrian but missed.
"What the hell?" the ruffians said as he looked around for Adrian. -
Adrian couldn't help but give a low laugh at the brute. When the man turned to where the noise had come from he gave him a good hard and firm punch in the jaw making the man stagger back a bit.

"Heh, your pretty good for a kid. Lets see how you do against a gun."
The ruffians pulled out a gun and shot it directly at Adrians head and fired. -
Adrian ducked quick as he could which was definitely quick enough to dodge a bullet. He took his knife and expertly threw it at the man's chest.

The mans eyes widened as he started coughing up blood.
"You... Son... Of... A-" He collapsed before he could make out the words.
"Did you just kill a man?!" Jewel yelled and she took a step back. -
"Hey keep it down," Adrian shushed. He took his knife out of his chest. "He was about to kill me. I was just going to try and scare him away with a few cuts and bruises. We need to get out of here now," he said. He took her by her shoulders and started leading her away. "And for heaven's sake don't yell."

Jewel narrowed her eyes. "Sheesh, I'm sorry, but continuing our conversation from earlier, what do you mean your my guardian?"

"I'll explain later," Adrian said. He looked around. "Do you have a place we can go?" he asked.

"Yeah, we can go to my place, but first, what's your name?"

"I already told you my name," he said. "Adrian. And what's your name?" As soon as he asked it, he knew what it was. It was in her thoughts. He started walking in the direction of her house.

"My names Jewel. Oh and heads up before we go in." Jewel said before she turned the handle.
"If my mom says anything ignore her, she's probably drunk. She was like that after- well after an incident including my father happened..."
Jewel turned the handle and walked inside. -
"Jewel!" Jewels little brother, Max shouted as he ran up and hugged her.
"And this is Max, my little brother." Jewel said as she rolled her eyes. -
(I almost forgot there can be romance in this if you want.)
"I'm sorry," Adrian said. He looked in the living room. Sure enough there was a woman with a bottle of tequila in one of her hands. "Is there anywhere more private we can talk? What I'm going to say is going to make me sound like a madman and I don't want her babbling off to anyone if she remembers anything she hears." -
(Oh my god yes! Do u want it between C1 and C2?)
Jewel nodded. "We can go to my room." She said and guided Adrian to her room.
