So basically her abilities won't be showing up until much later.
So we're slashing out the voices part and what color are her eyes? -
Name: Jewel
Age: 15
Appearance: Long straight brown hair, white, black eyes
Personality: Protective, smart, nice
Bio: Dad died
Other: Has mom and little brother -
(So we're started at the river right before she nearly drowns. She should either be at the river or almost there)
Adrian walked through the forest, his boots making a crunching sound against the crisp covering of snow, his breath making white clouds in the winter air. He stopped near the river. There was a bridge that was broad enough for a vehicle to go through to his right. He felt like something was about to happen. He felt drawn to the place. Someone was coming, he knew. He hid behind a nearby tree and looked out at the river, waiting to see what would happen. -
Jewel walked up to the river and breathed in the fresh smell of nature.
The river looked tempting to jump in, her father had warned her to never jump in natures waters, so she didn't.
But the temptation was stronger, so she just took off her shoes as put her feet in, when all of a sudden she felt something pull her in. She screamed as she was dragged beneath the water. -

(It's taking place in winter, you know XD)
Adrian scanned the river until he saw a girl suddenly being pulled into the water. He immediately realized who it was. She was her charge. Lovely, she was drowning. He ran towards the edge of the water, taking off his long leather jacket, and prepared himself to dive into the frigid cold waters.
Adrian leaped into the river and was immediately plunged into the paralyzing cold. He saw the form of the girl through the dark blue water and swam as fast as he could in her direction. Then he saw something else. A demon was the one that had pulled her in. -
(LMAO!! That sounds like me irl. I would definitely crack ice and try to jump into water!)

Jewel felt fingers running across her back, she turned her head around and her eyes widened. There was a demon behind her!

She tried to get away, but the demon was holding onto her leg.
"Okay Jewel, don't panic. It's probably an oversized shark!"
She thought to herself. -
(She doesn't know what a demon looks like. She might not even believe that demons exist. To her it's just someone pulling her down)
Adrian swam swiftly. He hoped he'd be able to get to her in time. He rose above water every once in awhile to get a gasp of breath. Then back in the water. He could definitely see two figures now. But they were going deeper and deeper into the river. -
Jewels lungs were burning.
She wondered who was dragging her down. She had tried to be nice to everybody she met. -
(At this point she's probably unconscious

(True. I always wondered in movies how people hold their breath for so long.)

(So I'm just going to assume that she is unconscious.
Also there are people who can hold their breath for like five minutes or more)
Adrian finally got to her and pulled out a knife. It wasn't a a normal knife. It had symbols inscribed in it. He cut off the demon's hand. The demon hissed at him as the hand durned to ash. Before the demon had time to attack him he stabbed it in the chest, killing it. He grabbed the girl by her waist and started swimming upward.
Their heads broke above the surface of the water. Adrian pulled her along swimming to the edge of the water, making sure her head stayed above the river. Adrian dragged her onto the side of the river he had been on when he had leaped in. He felt her face. She was freezing cold. He grabbed his long leather jacket and put it on her. He pulled his phone out of his pocket. It wasn't an ordinary phone but it still dialed 9-1-1 the same. Sort of. He explained the situation into the phone and hung up when the conversation ended. An ambulance was on the way
