"What do you mean by stabbing?" -
"In case the fork stabs the back of your mouth on accident," Adrian said.

"That'll hurt. Fine, you can feed me." she said.

Adrian held the fork up to her mouth and then she took the bite.
After a few minutes they were done. -
"That wasn't so bad." mumbled Jewel.

"You'll have to get used to it," Adrian said.

Jewel shook her head. "Never."

"It's going to be like this for forty days."

"Oh dear god."

"Remember I know what it feels like," Adrian said.

"I know." she said.

"You're stronger than I am," Adrian said. "You'll make it."

"I am most definitely not stronger than you." she said.

Adrian stroked her cheek. "You are," he said. "I know you are.'

Jewel smiled. "What did I do to deserve you?"
