"Oof." was all she said. -
Adrian raised an eyebrow. 'Oof' was not something he had expected her to say. "I'll bring some food later."
It was pure agony for Jewel the entire time Adrian was gone. -
Jewel was apparently in agony.

Jewel was a little upset at being left alone, but it was nothing compared to being left alone and faced with the past. She hated every single second of it and eventually started screaming her head off. -

Adrian rushed in when he heard her screaming. "I'm here," he said. He held her shoulders. "I'm here."
He knew what Jewel was going through. This entire thing was making some of his old memories resurface. -
"Take the handcuffs off! Take. Them. Off." She yelled.

He shook his head "I can't, I'm sorry," he said softly.

Jewel started freaking out and tried taking them off by herself, only to fail.

"Stop it Jewel you're going to hurt yourself," Adrian said, taking her hands in his.

"I don't care! Just take them off!" she yelled.

"I can't," Adrian said, shaking his head. There were tears dotting the edge of his eyes. This was only the first day.

"Adrian please take them off." she begged, staring at his eyes.

"I can't," he whispered. He ran his hand through her hair and wiped some tears from her cheeks with his thumb. "I'm sorry."

She sighed and bit her lip. "I-it's fine." she said.
