Jewel stayed silent for a while. Every few minutes she would see a few flashbacks and start freaking out. They eventually stopped and she stared at the ceiling.

Adrian slowly walked over to her. "I'll be here for you," he said quietly.

Jewel said nothing. "Four weeks of this. Why did I agree to doing the ritual." she groaned.

"It gets worse," he said.

"Gee thanks for the comfort." she said, rolling her eyes.

"I'm not going to lie to you again."

"That would be nice because that really doesn't bring good results." she snapped.

Adrian looked at her with a pained expression in his eyes. "I'm sorry," he said.

Her expression softened. "It's okay, it was my fault for making a contract with Lucifer." she said.

"Everyone makes mistakes, Jewel," he said. "The important thing is that we apologize and try to fix it."

"Too bad the way to fix it sucks." she muttered.

"Well, it's better than the alternative," he said.
