Which character would you like to RP?
The Masked Devil, or the companion that the masked devil meets? ☺ -
Companion, please. I feel like I'd completely botch The Masked Devil and you play him so well.
-
Name: Adrian Bornalé (The Masked Devil)
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Unknown
Appearance: When he is doing a show he tends to wear a red suit that had gold embroidered accents. He also wear short red silk gloves. A mask is always covering his face, that matches his suit, and he wears a black and red top hat as well! As for relaxation, or outside of work, he wears a white button down shirt, and black dress pants. He also wears a black mask that covers the top half of his face.
Personality: This honestly depends on the day you meet him. He can be happy-go-lucky, or serious. The one thing that never changes though is his aura of mystery.
Bio: He did make a deal with the devil, but he has to find a way to reverse it, before it takes over his life.
(Would you like to start when the caravan/band enters the town?) -
Name: Evelyn Caunter
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Curly auburn hair, bright green eyes, freckles, angled face, tall. She usually wears a plain t-shirt, jeans, and boots or sneakers.
Personality: TBD
Bio: She works at her family owned bakery. She's had a simple sort of life, but she's always loved it and wouldn't change it for anything. -
(Oh and sure)

Adrian sat in the little truck the group had rented out, and sighed. He glanced at the dash in front of him and looked at the masks. They were a part of the contract, and he hated it. He hated everything that had brought him to this point. Yes, it was necessary, but it came with a price, and a steep one at that. If he would have known what he knew now, he wouldn't have done it. He looked down at his hands, and wrung them together. They had a show tonight, and he could feel in his bones someone would be there. Someone important, but he couldn't pin point it. Normally, he could tell what kind of person they were long before they came to him, but this one was different.
The energy from this one was muffled. Not exactly good, but not exactly bad. It seemed as if this person was perfectly neutral, or they were really good at hiding their emotions. Adrian shrugged the feeling off as soon as they passed the Welcome sign, and started focusing on the act. It always had to performed a certain way, and at a specific time.
"We're almost to the hotel. The show will start within the next two hours." The hulking man that was driving the truck looked at Adrian after speaking. "Be ready. You know the deal." He continued to drive for the next few minutes, then pulled into the parking lot of a hotel that was on the outskirts of the town. Adrian took a deep breath, and stepped out of the truck. If only he hadn't gotten himself in this predicament in the first place. -
Evelyn put the last batch of rolls they had made that day out. She heard the bell for the door jingle, announcing someone's arrival. Evelyn turned her head around to see her friend Madison. "Hey, how are you?" Evelyn asked facing her body towards her.
"Good," Madison said. She held up two thin strips of paper. "I got us tickets for a show tonight."
"What kind?" Evelyn asked, walking towards her.
Madison looked down at the tickets. "I'm not sure," she said. "Trust me, I'm sure it'll be good."
Evelyn laughed. "Last time I trusted you on something like this –"
"Don't you dare bring that up again, Evelyn," Madison said trying to hide a laugh but obviously failing. "I learned my lesson."
"What, don't tell us to wear crazy costumes to a formal event?" Evelyn said. "I sure hope you learned your lesson."
Madison laughed, then said, "I don't think you need to worry about that."
Evelyn smiled. "Sure I'll come. I don't have anything to do tonight, anyway." -
The hotel they stayed at was a cheap one, but it also had its perks. Adrian wasn't one to complain though. It was definitely better than some of the places he had been previously. He carried his stuff to the room, and hung a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. He had to get ready, and that in itself was going to be a chaotic mess.
An hour later, Adrian emerged from his room. His gait confident. It was like he had been transformed into a brand new person. His smile could be seen for miles, and even the performers were impressed. They had never seen him this happy before. "Tonight!" Adrian said, clapping his hands together. "Is going to be the show of a life-time! Everything has to be perfect!"
When moments like this happened, Adrian didn't think the price he had to pay was that bad. Everything always seemed to flow smoothly, and they both ended up getting what they wanted, regardless. Adrian hopped back into the front of the truck with such an elegant grace, you would think that he was a different person. "On to the venue!" He smirked, as they drove away. -
Evelyn and Madison were on their way to where the show was to be held. When they got there Evelyn was excited. The buzz of the crowd there was energetic. She wore a big smile on her face.
"I told you it would be fun," Madison said, " and it hasn't even started yet."
"I think you definitely did good this time" Evelyn agreed.
They grabbed a few snacks and and took their seats, waiting for the show to start. -
The drive to the venue seemed to stretch for an eternity, but once they arrived, time started to fly by. The amount of people at the front of the venue was appaling. Even Adrian didn't expect this much of a turn out. Did this many people actually like the show? Him, and his "chaperones" made their way through the back door before anyone could notice. The anount of people he saw, made his heart race. If something extremely bad happened...there would be no end to the scorn he would face.
"Don't worry about it..."
Adrian sighed, and took a deep breath. When the show happened, he wouldnt be in control anyway. But, he would have to deal with the aftermath, and he wasn't entirely sure of what that meant. Not this time around. Adrian made his way to his backstage room, and closed the door behind him. He felt something in his chest stir. An intuitive feeling perhaps. The strong force was getting closer. Maybe, maybe this was his chance at redemption?
"There is no redemption for you. You are mine now..."
The voice was louder this time, and seemingly more problematic. He had to figure out a way to get out of the deal he made. Otherwise, there was no hope for his future. Adrian slammed his fist on the table in front of him. It was time for his co-host to take over. As he did so, Adrian slipped away, watching through his eyes like a movie, but unable to control his words, or actions. -
Evelyn watched as more and more people filed into their seats. She didn't think she had ever been anywhere with this many people.
Chatter was roaming about on a high. Evelyn heard some of the things the people behind her were saying. "...The Masked Devil. Don't worry you are not going to be bored."
The Masked Devil. Evelyn had heard some things about him. She doubted many of them were true. No one can actually make a deal with the devil, can they?
Now the fortune telling part wasn't so far-fetched. She wondered...nah, it probably wouldn't happen. She wasn't going to get her hopes up over something ridiculous like that. -
As the time neared for the show to start, a set of lights were pointed at the main stage. They started to dim, and a voice could be heard over the loudspeaker that was above the stage.
"Ladies and gentleman! Welcome to tonights show! I assure you, tonight, you will have the time of your life! And as always, expect the unexpected."
Adrian watched through his eyes as his body stepped forward. It was so weird, not being in control. Being on the inside, fully aware what was happening, but unable to do anything. From what Adrian had gathered, the demon that inhabited his body was Asmodai. He was the most powerful King in Hell, right beneath Satan himself. Adrian took and deep breath, and crossed his fingers. Hopefully nothing would go wrong tonight, after all that presence gave him hope.
Asmodai made his way to the stage, stretching his body and yawning. Tonight's performance was going to be the icing on the cake. He smiled, and laughed slightly. He couldn't wait to see the audiences faces, but after all, to them it would seem like a stunt. Nothing more, nothing less. He walked toward the side entrance of the stage, and awaited his cue.
"And here's the man of the hour you all have been waiting for, along with his team of rag-tag misfits, The Masked Devil!"
Asmodai walked onto the stage, his arms outstretched and a grin on his face. He gave a quick bow to the audience then made his way across the stage. They had drawn a big crowd tonight. Word must have been getting around. -
Evelyn could already tell this was going to be a great show, especially if this many people had come to see it. The buzz of the crowd was invigorating. She was on the edge of her seat. She waited for the act to start.
-
Asmodai scanned the crowd and twirled into a circle, his red suit now turning into a silk black color. The energy in the room tonight was enough on it's own to cause a little chaos magic. He smirked, and opened his right hand causing a raven to fly out into the crowd. "Tonight is a show of mystery and mayhem. Chaos and disbelief. I assure you, everything you see happen on this stage is real." He pointed into the crowd and caused light rain droplets to fall into the crowd. Something felt off. There was a strong pulse in the crowd. He shook his head, and closed his hands, causing the rain to stop. "Whether you believe it's magic, or reality...is up to you!"
He tried to shake this feeling off as he continued. He did normal things that could just be countered off as normal 'mortal' magic, but this would certainly be dispelled this time. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have a story for you!" Asmodai clapped his hands together, spinning back into his red suit. "Once, when I was a young boy, back when dragons were real and mystical creatures ruled the land; there was a creature that fisherman told tales of. A sea creature that turned the seas itself red." As he told his story, the wind picked up in the venue, and rain droplets started to pour on the audience. As the rain fell, they started to turn pink, then a dark red.
"The fishermen said this creature could not be tamed, for it had killed many a crew and drug them into the depths of the sea." As Asmodai spoke, screams and splashing could be heard, and he started to leviate in the air. His suit whipped in the wind, and he whispered a couple of words. A hole could be seen appearing on the bottom of the stage.
