(gonna put a bit more)
As Evelyn was handing him the deck, she figured she should actually do it the right way first instead of messing with it. So she did think of a question What will my future hold? she asked the cards as she put them in his hand, not knowing what else she should have asked it. -
Asmodai took the deck from her and sat it on the center of the table. He muttered a few words under his breath before picking up the card and placing it upright on the table. The card ahowed a skeleton perched atop a horse, bodied strewn about. It was the card of Death. Asmodai looked at her, then the card again, then spoke. "You are getting ready to go through a change. A major one. I cannot tell you what to do, but there will be many choices ahead. Only very few will lead you, and those you care for to salvation." He stood up for a moment, and gritted his teeth together. The pain in his stomach had returned. As AsmodaI clutched his stomach, he placed a hand on the table. "When the time come, do not trust the evil at the end of the path." He pulled a goal out of his pocket and tossed it to Evelyn.
Adrian looked up, and saw a girl sitting in front of him. He was confused for a moment, then decided to ask, "Who are you, and why are you here?" The same energy he felt from earlier was apparent, but why her. What was so special about her? As long as Adrian had time, he hoped he would figure out the answers. -

Evelyn caught the vial in her hands. She looked up at the man. "I thought..." she said, then decided to change her approach. "I'm Evelyn. You just told my fortune, I thought." How could he not have known this? He had come up to her before and asked her to come back here. She looked down at the vial and wondered what was in it. -
Adrian looked at her, confusion in his eyes, then it dawned on him. "It's a long story." He said, running his fingers through his hair, the mask shifting slightly on his face. "Uhm, I guess I have a bit of explaining to do." He stood up and exited the room. "Follow me." He said, a bit to softly. The sounds of his shoes echoed on the tile floor. This could go one of two ways, but he really needed her help. He headed out of the venue and toward a truck.
Standing out in front of the truck were his 'associates'. He looked back at Evelyn for a moment, and shook his head. "We need to head back inside. I'll talk to you there." He walked back inside the venue, to a room that looked very similiar to a break room and sat down at the table. "Before I start, do you have any questions you would like to ask me?" He folded his hands on the table. Asmodai had created a sense of elegance in the room, but Adrian was tired and drained. He wanted to sleep, but more important matters were at hand. -
Evelyn was startled at the sudden transformation. This man had gone from confident and flamboyant to someone who seemed to be worn and torn down. She sat down on the chair across from him. She did have questions, but she decided to shorten them down. "Two," she said. Evelyn held up the vial. "One, what's this?" she put the vial back into her lap. "Two, why didn't you remember me?"
-
Adrian took a close look at the vial and then looked at her. "It seems to be a potion of sorts. I do recognize the bottle, but not the contents." He peered at it cautiously. He wasn't sure why Asmodai would give her a potion, unless he had something up his sleeve. "As for my memory, I recall your face, but that is it. I made a deal with the devil. One that I shouldn't have made. A demon possesed my body and can take my place whenever he wishes. It is part of our contract." He looked at her, his eyes glistening slightly. "As for you; we both were drawn here. I feel like you could help me break this...curse, or pact. Although, I am uncertain about why Asmodai wants you, or why he gifted you the vial."
"I hope this clears things up. At least slightly." He looked at her and studied the vial. He knew the place it came from wasn't safe, but other than that their had to be a different motive from the demon himself. -
Evelyn was surprised he was being so forward about this. A deal with the devil is no light thing. "So how will I know if I'm talking to you or Asmodai?" she asked.
His words rang through her head. This demon wanted her? She put the vial back on the table. If a demon had given it to her she didn't think she wanted it. She had had no idea any of this would happen when she had woken up that morning. -
Adrian looked at her for a moment, then looked down at his hands. "The only way you know is by how we talk and present ourselves. He tends to be more upbeat and light-hearted, surprisingly. There is a different way, but that may be revealed at a later time. Right now, I need your help to sneak out of here." He looked at her, his eyes darkening with seriousness. "I haven't been able to do it on my own, but I have a feeling you might just be able to help me."
He stood up and unbuttoned the jacket he had on, showing a white dress shirt underneath. "As for the potion, I can't take that. I have learned my lesson on trying to muddle in the affairs of demons and entities." He slid the bottle toward her. "So, are you up for helping me?" -
Evelyn knew that wasn't a very good way to tell, because Asmodai could probably act like him. She took the potion and stuck it in her pocket. She slowly nodded. "I am," she said, standing up.
Evelyn felt like a whole bunch of things seemed to be centered around her all of a sudden. She, a baker from a small town. How had this happened to her? Why was she so special that she was wanted by a demon and could help this man escape?
"What's your name?" she asked him. -
"My name is Adrian." He said, giving her a slight smile as he walked out of the break room. He could feel his heart beating in his chest rapidly. Step one was initiated. His fingers were crossed that this would go off without a hitch. "Lead the way." he said, grabbing a spare, black over-sized hoodie and tossing it on. He had cover his face, and mask so no one would notice.
-
Evelyn nodded and started walking the way they had come before. She had no idea what she was supposed to do. Was he just supposed to walk out with her? Or would he have to give her instructions as they went on? She wasn't sure, so she just kept on walking.
