Brooke smiled as Chlora investigated her hair and giggled a bit. Brooke shrugged. “Sorta like a mermaid, but more like a-“ Brooke dipped her head towards Shatter. “Yes, I’m a water horse. A kelpie.”

"Ooooh, a kelpie..." Chlora said, sounding mesmerized. She had read of kelpie's in her books, but has never met one. Chlora tried to keep her excitement in, as she was on a mission. "Excuse me for a moment." Chlora went into another room alone, and started jumping up and down excitedly.

"Woah," Anniese said. "I've never met a kelpie before!"

Shatter made a low hissing sound, but looked happy as they drew their head back and appeared to be grinning

Brooke watched Chlora walk into a different room and sighed, staring longingly down at the water. Her quest mates were nice and all, but she wanted to swim.

Chlora let out all of her excitement in the room, and calmly walked back out like nothing ever happened. She couldn't wait to tell everyone about this journey.

The boat groaned and started floating out to sea. Anniese's dog was running around on Shatter's feet.

Shatter lowered their head towards the dog, rumbling softly

Brooke was quietly contented with just watching the waves lap against the side of the boat as it gained speed

The dog sat down and frowned grumpily up at Shatter, wanting his master back. -
Shatter tilted their head before he picked up the dog and put it by Anniese

Brooke glanced over at Shatter and smiled softly before her gaze trailed back over to the sparkling blue ocean.

Chlora continued to search around the ship. "Do we know how long we'll be on this boat?" She went over to touch a decorative plant, forgetting her gloves were no longer on. Her hair and eyes started to glow slightly. Chlora gasped. "I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to-" She kept her head down in shame.
