Kenna shook her head. "I don't know," she said. "From what we've thought of so far, at least one of us dies." She put her head in her hands. "We need to think of something else."

"But what?" Ander said. "For both of us to live, we'd both have to run. That's a huge risk."

"Either run and possibly be killed or do something else and most likely get killed," Kenna said.

"Yeah, pretty much," Ander said. "Either way, we have to be ready to leave at the slightest notice. I'll get two packs ready."

"Alright," Kenna said, nodding. She though about what she had said earlier. She had never told a soul about that, but it had just come out when she was talking to him.

Ander organized items neatly in the pack, folding up clothes until they were small and compact. There weren't any lady clothes for Kenna, so he just put the smallest ones in her pack.

Kenna went over to where Ander was. For some odd reason she was curious about what he was packing. -

Ander glanced up from his packing. "Hmm?" he said. -
Kenna shook her head. "Nothing," she said

Ander smiled to himself and continued packing. He handed a pack to Kenna. "Here you are, that one's yours." -
"Thanks," Kenna said, taking it, but she wasn't sure where she should put it. They weren't leaving right away.
