April said "If that's true, then I should have control of those plants." She then put Buttons down and walked to the plants. She touched the plant and nothing seemed to happen. She then looked at the plant and as she concentrated, her birthmark glowed again and the plants began to sway back and forth, with no wind."
-
Callyn walked over as well. "Better begin by just trying everything," She answered Julius. She picked up a torch and tried to light it with her mind, but it didn't do anything. She put it down and went to the spring of water.
Kim picked up the torch Callyn had dropped. He stared at it for a while. He tried to make fire rise from it, or just to make heat gather at it's tip. Kim's birthmark began to glow and the stick started to shake.
Reese clapped. "Woo, a power testing party!" She skipped up and started to poke the pile of rocks at every angle. She was willing something, anything to happen. -
Julius touched the rocks, willing them to do something. They sat there almost mockingly as he moved over to the spring. His birthmark started to glow and the water flew out of the spring, swirling around him.
"Woah," he said with a sharp breath, holding out his hand. The water formed into the shape of a fish and swam around, hovering above his hand as if it had a mind of its own. -
April looked at Julius and saw the fish made of water. She also looked at the plants she seemed to be controlling. They weren't moving that much due to their sun-starved state. She then said "Julius, do you think you can get that water onto these plants. I have an idea."
-
By process of elimination, Callyn knew she had to go to the pile of rocks. She touched it, then watched in amazement as the rocks responded to her command and started shifting and cracking.
The torch in Kim's hand finally lit up in a quick spark. He held it aloft proudly. "I guess this means that Ignatius dude was my great great great great great... eh, nevermind. It'll take all night to continue," Kim said.
Reese backed up as Callyn did her work, then crossed her arms. "Maybe there was a mistake," she said with a sigh, but as she sighed the wind around her kicked up. She perked up. -
Julius put his hand out towards the ground and the water dove in, moisturizing the plants. He smiled. It didn't feel like he was controlling the water, per say. It felt more like a compromise then a power struggle.
-
April then put her hands on the plants and her hands began to glow with her birthmark. The plants all began to heal and blossom into flowers. They then began to dance with April's moving hands.
-
Callyn tried to lift a big rock telekinetically, but found that her new powers had its limits. She supposed they would all need to train more to become god level like their predecessors. She shifted her focus onto tinier pebbles.
Kim moved the flame from the torch around. The fire responded to his hand movement like two dancers in a furious tango, always synchronous.
Reese bent back and took a deep, deep breath before blowing with all her might at the pebbles Callyn was playing with. Her intention was to make them fly upwards, but instead the wind pressure was enough to make the room quake. Kim's torch blew out and left them in the dark again. -
The water that Julius was messing around with splashed around his ankles as he lost focus. He looked around, waiting for his to adjust to the dark.
"What was that?" he said with a frown. -
*for his EYES
Good gracious I should check my posts -
(Happens to the best of us, man.)
April was shaken up by the quake and said "Okay, I think that's enough practice. We need to see what's beyond those stairs. They may have left something?" -
"Something to help us on our journey, according to Ignatius," Callyn replied to April with a nod. She started to go towards the stairs.
"Hey, careful, I'll light another torch," Kim said as he concentrated for a few seconds and flame burst from the torch. This time it happened quicker, he seemed to be getting the hang of this.
"I'll try not to blow it out again, sorry bout that," Reese said, but she couldn't keep the smile out of her voice. There was no mistake. She had powers just like everyone else. -
Julius was curious. Humans were 70% water. Would he able to control people too? He shook off the thought. It was too dangerous of an idea and he didn't want to hurt anyone by trying.
"They might have left something like weapons," he suggested, following the rest of the group. -
(For the record, he can do that. But more like how they did it in Avatar.)
April started walking down the stairs carefully as she didn't want to trip and fall considering there was no light.
Eventually, they reached the bottom and a room lit up revealing a strange oval object, floating in the air. April asked "What's this?" -
