Julius nodded. "The summer class one is a good idea. Maybe we could say we were all accepted into a summer camp somewhere?"
-
April said "Let's just form a club." "This craft also comes with a spirit guide to aid you in flying the ship so do not fear from not knowing how to fly it. Good luck, champions. May Kazuki's light guide you." Aysu concluded. The hologram then shut off and then a small robot came out of a wall. It activated and said "Hello. I was supposed to activate when the champions came and found the ship. Is that you guys?"
-
(I should point out this robot is short. About half average human size.)
-
"Yep, that's us. The champions," Callyn said to the robot. "I'm Callyn," She introduced herself as she walked around the ship curiously.
"Uh.. well.. uh, define "champions". I guess I've been in a few skirmishes, but I'm not a fighter often or anything," Kim says, not quite as eager for the title as Callyn.
"I nominate Julius for club president," Reese said, barely acknowledging the robot save for a quick poke to see how it'd react. -
"Well I nominate Reese or Callyn," Julius countered, wanting to do anything else but be the "club president" of a group of fellow super-powered strangers. He shifted his attention to the robot. "Ah...technically yes?"
-
The robot said, in a rather disappointed tone "Oh. Well. That's unusual." April asked "What's wrong?" "Well, I was hoping the champions would be adults, not kids. But hey, if Melanthios isn't gonna wait then I can't either. So you'll have to do."
-
"I'm as able as any adult," Callyn said with a challenging smirk. She turned to Julius and shrugged. "I've run a club or two before," she said.
"Robo dude, do you have a name?" Kim asks. If not, he was all set and ready to give off a list of possible names. He hadn't watched a lot of mech or robot shows, but he could think of something surely.
"Do you have a self destruct button? Am I allowed to paint on you?" Reese asked the robot curiously, tilting her head. Two very menacing questions, both with questionable intent. -
Julius laughed lightly at the robot's answer. "I can imagine. Are you here to help us? If so, where would we even begin to look for the clues that Aysu talked about?"
-
The robot said "Allow me to answer all of those questions. First, I don't have a name. I am programmed to respond to whatever name the group decides to call me. Second, I do not have a self-destruct feature. I am designed to go down with the ship if it gets destroyed. Third, you can in fact decorate me. I'm completely waterproof. Fourth, I am here to help the champions, yes. Finally, I am programmed to take you to the location of the clue. But you'll have to find and figure out the clues yourselves. Any other questions?"
-
"Just one. Do we have to start the mission, like, immediately?" Callyn asked. She couldn't check the time, but she was sure it was 3 or 4 in the morning.
"Hey, you paint? If I pay you to draw an anime character on the robot would you do it?" Kim whispered to Reese discreetly.
Reese nods. "Maybe after we're done saving the world or whatever," she said with a small shrug. -
Julius nodded, agreeing with Callyn. "We aren't even remotely prepared to go searching for clues scattered across the world."
-
The robot said "You do not in fact have to start right this minute. But you can't ignore this forever. After 24 hours, I will try and find you and convince you to start." April said "That sounds creepy."
-
"It probably won't have to come to that. We can go home and sleep, pack, etcetera. We'll come back later today," Callyn says.
Kim sighs. "Well, there goes my binging hours. Guess I'll have to wait till next summer to catch up to Naruto. Alright," He says, shrugging.
"Here's my number," Reese says, taking a tiny sketchbook out of her pocket and ripping out some paper to write her contact information down. -
Julius sucked in a sharp breath. He prayed to the gods that his mom would never know that he snuck out. "Maybe we could meet at the statue at around, I don't know, 1 o'clock?"
-
April said "That works for me. Anybody else?"
