"She is another soldier. We were in the same unit," he said, before taking on a tone that suggested that he'd been cheated. "That was two questions!"

"No, you asked me if I really thought your code was random," Gaynor said. "Therefore, it was my turn to ask a question. Now it's yours."

"Hmm. I see. However, I have little to ask you but you have much to ask me."

"You've asked a lot about me. I've asked smaller things. You asked bigger things, so I had to give longer answers."

Gaynor frowned. She couldn't think of anything. "Maybe I'll think of something later," she said. -

"When a question occurs to you, feel free to bring it to my attention," he said, looking around the village. -

"I will," Gaynor said, suddenly realizing that they were in a village. -
