"Gaynor smiled and rolled her eyes. She urged Ragger on, and they went at a trot.
-
02084 spurred 3160 into a trot as well, and gave no indication that he desired small talk.
-
Gaynor didn't feel like talking either. She was thinking. She didn't know how many people there were, or how many people were supporting them. This may've been harder than she previously thought.
-
02084 sighed. This was going to be like pulling teeth.
"We must have this sort of, um, what is it called, a "Q&A", before we reach our destination," he said uncomfortably. -
"Ok," Gaynor said. "So what's the least amount of people we're supposed to be killing?"
-
"Ten," he said simply. "The members of the Council of Reality. Now it is my turn to ask a question. What kept you from killing me so far?"
-
"Well, I wasn't planning on having the person I've been looking for for years show up on my doorstep. I also didn't have my sword on hand. During the night, I was planning. In the morning, you were just hi bye, the afternoon was when you looked like you were going to kill me with your bare hands. After that . . . I have honor. You didn't have any weapons on you, and you obviously weren't in the right state of mind. And then after that we had a plan that would hopefully not get us killed."
"What's the Council of Reality?" Gaynor asked. -
"It is a group of high ranking people who "solve" world problems. Overpopulation became a problem, and a few villages were known to riot against the council. So, they decided to massacre the people of those villages. It is their idea of efficiency," he laughed bitterly.
-
"They'll find it's not so efficient when they get killed," Gaynor sneered. She took a deep breath to get herself to just . . . calm down. "What's your next question?"
-
"What is your favorite shade?" he said, sounding embarrassed.
-
"Shade of what?" Gaynor asked.
-
"Shade. It is..," he trailed off, struggling for the right world. "It is color."
-
"Oh," Gaynor said, a little surprised, wondering why he wasn't asking questions like, 'how were you able to get away?' and things like that. "Turquoise," she said. (That's my second favorite color.)
-
"I see. Now it is your turn," he said, patting 3160's neck.
-
"Why do you have a code for a name?"
