Gaynor laughed. "I'm not that type of person that's going to attack you on every bad thing about me or my belongings that you imply. I've honestly never ridden before now."

Gaynor smiled and rolled her eyes. She started walking. The sun grew dimer as the went farther in. -
(I'm thinking along the lines of a humongous wolf/rat like creature)
02084 unwrapped a large piece of bread and placed some meat and cheese between slices.
"I have made a-a...a," he said, his face scrunched up in concentration. "A sand width." -
(Rodents of unusual size XD)
"A sandwich," Gaynor corrected. -

"This makes no sense," he said. "A sand witch? How strange."
He offered her one anyway and took one as well, muttering "sand witch" to himself. -
Gaynor took the sandwich. "Not sand witch, sandwhich." She bit into the sandwich.

He bit into his ear before hearing a soft sound (due to superhuman senses) and froze. It sounded like a soft growling and the heavy thump of a large creature.
"Get down!" he hissed to Gaynor. -

(just looked it up. RODENTS OF UNUSUAL SIZE ARE REAL THINGS!
But they don't Growl. It's more of a very loud screeching/squeaking sound.)
Gaynor drew her sword as she dropped low. "I think you should've told me about this," she said.
