Hunter followed beside Annabelle obediently as she tugged him away from the now burning house. He had no idea what their next move would be... Conquering villages, probably. Anna memtioned something earlier about gaining allies, but he had no clue how they would do so.
-
Annabelle thought for a moment and then the goblin captain came back and said "Mistress. We swept the entire forest and couldn't find any trace of the girl you seek. I apologize." Annabelle said "She must be somewhere. We'll find her later, right now we must form an adequate base of operation. Is my father's castle still standing? I've heard tale that he had such a might castle." The goblin captain replied "Alas, it is still standing under new management. When Lady Amari defeated and imprisoned the Overlord, she took his castle as hers, purifying it in the process. It now crawls with her fairy warriors."
-
"If the castle is inhabited by Lady Amari we might not have enough manpower to invade it yet," Hunter advises. He briefly wondered how Isabelle could've escaped the massacre. That sneaky prick, if he ever laid eyes on her again Hunter didn't know what he would do. "No offense to the goblins of course, I'm sure they're very fierce in battle. I just.. don't want the same fate as your father to happen to you," Hunter admits to Annabelle.
-
Annabelle said "Don't worry, Hunter. I'm not going that far yet. I shall create a new castle, right here on the ashes of Widowmire. But in order to do that, I'll need some strong builders. Yes, we'll need orcs." The goblin captain said "Orcs, mistress? Are we sure they would even aid us?" Annabelle made her trident glow and said "I think we can convince them."
-
The news calmed Hunter's nerves a bit. He knew they would have every intention of marching in onto Amari's castle, and he had no problem with that, but he didn't want them to go in unprepared. Hunter's new biggest worry was Isabelle. If she escaped somehow, and she went and told everyone about Annabelle and Widowmire, it would cause a hindrance in their plans. Their one advanatage; the element of surprise, would be ruined.
-
Annabelle said "Captain, assemble a small group to follow me and Hunter to find the orcs. The rest of the goblins will stay here and clean up the grounds to lay the foundation." The captain said "Yes, ma'am."
-
"Haven't been out of the town in a while- it'll be just like old times, eh?" Hunter says to Annabelle with a smirk. "Well, not exactly like old times," Hunter adds with a little chuckle, motioning to the goblins around them. When they were kids Annabelle and Hunter would talk about all of the things they'd do when they finally grew up and left this place.
-
Annabelle smiled slightly and said "Yes, we'll finally get to do it. Just in a different way." She then turned to the squadron behind her and said "Let's move." and she and the goblins began the search for the orcs.
Little did they know, a fairy had spied on them and saw everything they did. This fairy was on her way to Queen Amari right this minute to let her know of this serious threat -
Hunter nods as they begin their search. This was much more his forte, the adventuring and navigating. He used to read survival books on how to maneuver his way through forests and other terrains. That's even why Hunter picked up archery. This whole ordeal was a dream come true, and to think he even had Annabelle on his side every step of the way made it 1000% better.

(We're scene transitioning to Queen Amari's castle. I'd recommend you play a character that would be in her court because we won't be playing as Annabelle and Hunter for a minute.)
-
(That's a-okay with me brodude. I can play a general or something, someone who controls Amari's troops. Would fairies have troops? If they do, I imagine it's not very threatening haha)
-
(Yeah, a general will work. But the fairies in this roleplay aren't typical fairies. These fairies are as tall as humans with wings and multicolored skin)
Queen Amari sat in her throne room, bored. Not much could be done today as there wasn't any diplomatic problems that needed attending at the moment. Just then, the doors burst open and a fairy warrior flew in shouting "Queen Amari, Queen Amari." -
General Khan was marching behind the fairy warrior as they rushed into the throne room. "I apologize door any interruption, my queen. I tried to tell them that they couldn't visit you without an appointment, but they were adamant that they had urgent news for you," Khan explains.
-
Amari said "That's fine, Khan." She then turned her attention to the clearly panicked warrior before her and said "Rose, calm down and please explain what you need to tell me." Rose took a deep breath and said "Okay. I was making a routine patrol from the skies, when all the sudden I heard a commotion in the west. I went to check it out and I saw a massacre. Goblins of all shapes and sizes, tearing and burning the poor citizens of Widowmire until nothing was left standing except a small farmhouse. Then a mighty fire blast erupted from said house. Then out of the house stepped a human girl, clad in black armor and she was holding the Overlord's trident." Queen Amari stopped her and asked "Are you saying what I think you're saying?" Rose nodded and said "I think so. There is a brand new Overlord." Amari said "But that's impossible. That trident can only be wielded by the original Overlord and his descendants. And the previous Overlord had no children. Right?"
(Before you get confused, there have been previous overlords prior to Annabelle's father taking the helm. He is just the most famous as he was the only one defeated) -
General Khan gets increasingly unsettled as Rose explains the situation. "Perhaps he had a secret child. That's the only way this could've happened," The general says with a grimace. This was horrible. It had been quite a few years since Khan had led a battle, but he supposed that with the rise of this mysterious overlord woman that he would have to dust out the armory. "We should rally troops and settle this before it becomes too big of a threat," Khan advised the queen.
