Annabelle face palmed at Hunter's reenactment of Falink's speech patterns. Falink retaliated by said "That is not thou name and even if thine art undaunted as thou claims then wouldst thou like a..." He didn't get to finish as Annabelle electrocuted him and he fell to the ground stunned but not dead. Annabelle said "Shut up already. Your voice is like nails in my head." Falinik weakly got up and said "Attack the Overlord." and a battle ensued.
-
Hunter ran straight into the fire that had accumulated at the edge of the forest. This way, none of the fairies could follow him. From there he started unsheathing arrow after arrow and shooting. The arrows he launched caught on fire and did more damage to the fairies. "Huh. Flaming arrows, that's a good idea," Hunter murmured to himself.
-
Falink, unlike Khan, charged headfirst to fight Annabelle once he recovered from the electroshock. Annabelle could have ended it here and there with some well placed shocks, but decided to humor the brave fairy and used her trident to fight with his sword.
-
One of the fairies flew above the inferno Hunter was running around in and started shooting arrows at him. He dodged most of them, but one managed the graze his arm and dealt him a well sized slash. Hunter grunted in anger and pain, then shot the fairy right in the heart with in one swift motion. The fairy caught on fire and went down like a shooting star.
-
After twenty minutes of fighting, the fairies all began to retreat as they were losing numbers fast. Falink didn't follow and instead shouted "COWARDS. Come back and stand your ground." No one listened and now he was alone and losing to Annabelle. As she locked her trident with his sword, she used her strength and magic and snapped the sword in half. As Falink kneeled in helplessness, he said "Thy, cannot win. Queen Amari will slay thou." She then stabbed him right though the stomach and as Falink died, Annabelle said "Don't bet on it."
-
"Whoo! Victory!" Hunter says as he emerges from the fiery brush. His clothes are very singed so he looks ridiculous. "Check out my battle wound," Hunter says, flexing his arm heroicly. Blood was gushing out the gash quite a bit, it had dripped down and made most of his arm bloody. Hunter winced.
-
Instead of being impressed or uninterested, Annabelle had a panicked look on her face as Hunter showed off the gash in his arm. She ran to him, grabbed his arm and looked at it with fear. She said "HEALER. NOW." and a blue goblin ran over and used his staff to heal Hunter's wound.
-
Can a healer goblin heal poison from a person's bloodstream? I had an idea that the arrow was tipped with poison, but you can veto this)
Hunter sighed with relief when the healer fixed his arm up. "It wasn't that bad," Hunter says when he notices how worried Annabelle was. He puts his nonbloody hand up to her face and caresses her reassuringly. -
(No it can't. Go on with your bad self)
Annabelle's face turned slightly annoyed and she pushed Hunter's hand from her face. She said "Don't tell me it's not bad. You had a wound gushing blood out onto your arm. You're not the Black Knight." Her face then turned somber and said "I can't loose you, Hunter. You're all that's left." -
(😈)
"I'm sorry for scaring you. I swear it wasn't that deep. Even without the goblin it could easily be sewn up. No one's getting rid of me that easily, I'll always be here by your side Annabelle," Hunter says seriously. His vision starts to go haywire. "Wait," Hunter says, suddenly feeling lightheaded. He stumbles and grabs onto a nearby tree to prevent from falling. "I.. don't feel so.." -
Annabelle held Hunter up and said "Hunter? Hunter!" She got down to try and lay him onto the ground. She looked at the site where the gash was healed and his veins looked green. "Poison." she said. "The arrows must have been tipped this time." She continued.
-
"Poison... that's a fun word. Poezin... Poyzunnnn," Hunter was going delirious. Without an antidote he'd probably be dead within the hour, if not sooner. He turned onto his side and began to cough. "..it hurts.. hurts..." Hunter said with a frown.
-
Annabelle began panicking again. She said "Someone do something." she said. The goblins and orcs scrambled to find an answer. The goblins, being naturally immune to poison, had no use for antidotes and the orcs, having been in a cave with no poison to speak of, never learned to make it.
-
"Do somethiiiing..." Hunter says, repeating after Annabelle. Hunter put his hands on his face, deep in concentration and wanting to get his words out correctly. "...Fairy on fire... shooting star... fairy on fi-" Hunter says before coughing some more, this time with blood. "...hurts," Hunter scrunched up into a fetal position.
-
Annabelle held Hunter close and almost started to cry at the prospect of losing him. But then a miracle happened. As if on cue, a magic projection of a short, robed wizard appeared before her. This robed being held one of his inhuman hands to Hunter's arm. A glow irradiated from his hand and casted the poison right out of Hunter's blood, curing him.
