Persephone didn't listen and, in the same trance, touched her magatama to the stone. The stone started to shake and glow brightly. Ken said "It's gonna blow. Duck and cover." He grabbed Persephone and hid behind his desk.

Demeter did the same, feeling frustrated. This was their research! And it was going to be destoryed,

Everyone embraced for impact as it shook and shook more and more. However instead of exploding, it glowed brilliantly and then shut off. It then cracked and crumbled into pieces. The magatama still glowing.

“ f---! “ Demeter says as she immediately surveys the damage to see what has happened. “ no! Please tell me you got a picture of it?” She asks her colleague

Ken got up and said "Don't worry. I got plenty. And there is always the pictures from the excavation site to fall back on." Persephone grabbed her magatama and it burned her hand.
Unbeknownst to anyone, deep within an atoll in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, two large eyes opened up and a form burst out of the rocks. -
“ you need to be more careful, giving away research material was a stupid decision.” Demeter scolds. “ it could have even been potentially dangerous, for all we know, it could have been a beacon and summoned gojira right to your sister.”

"I didn't think that specific magatama would be important. I was just trying to make my sister feel better. I'll just take it back." Ken responded. He said to Persephone "Alright hand me the magatama. We need to study it more." Persephone took a step back and said "I can't do that."

“ ...it’s monarch property, you’ll need to hand it over.” Demeter said as she wrote up some notes. Desperate to record beforehand she forgot.

Persephone said "I know, but something tells me it might be better if I keep it for a while." Ken said "Persephone, that magatama could attract Godzilla to you, or worse. I don't want to see you hurt."

Demeter frowns.
“ alright, but on the condition that you stay in the research facility, so we can observe you. Just in case.” Demeter says ignoring Ken. -
Ken looked at Demeter with a disapproving look, but was surprised when Persephone said "Okay, I'll just skip the interview."

“ it would be far safer for you and everyone else.” Demeter explained. “ besides, there’s a job opening here as a research assistant, both of us should have enough sway to get her the position.” She said switching to talking to ken mid conversation.

Ken sighed and said "I don't like the idea of using my sister as a lab rat for kaiju research. On the other hand, she needs a job." Ken turned to Persephone and said "What do you think, Persephone?" Persephone said "Don't I need credentials or something to be a lab assistant?"

“ research assistants just handle the filing really.” Demeter corrected. “ anything you learn in the job can be sued to becoming a lab assistant though.” She says.
“ look, we don’t have much of a choice thanks to you Dr.” -
Ken sighed and just looked away. Persephone said "Well if that is all I have to do, then I'll do it. Who do I talk to for it?"
