“ eugh, gross.” The younger scientist said before she wandered out of the lab, and went to the cafeteria. Normally she would have went to Starbucks but she was sure no one would appreciate her nipping out for thirty minutes for coffee...again.
Though, food was always a plus.
So she brought a few pizzas and four coffees back to the lab.
“ I brought food.” She announces when she comes back. “ can your monster energy replace a good pizza?” -
Dr. Hunter said "I appreciate that and pizza is better than my Monster, but I'm not hungry right now. Just leave it on my desk and I'll eat it later." In reality, he was just too focused on cracking the code on the stone to care about eating. He just knew the answer was somewhere within it.

-
Dr.Kaine shrugged and did so before she got back to work. She knew where he was coming from, but she always found she worked best on a full stomach. She bit into a slice of pizza as she continued de coding.
-
Hours and hours went by until nighttime approached. Dr. Hunter sighed and said "Well, we made as much progress as we could today. Let's just call it a night and get back to this tomorrow."
-
Dr.Kaine nodded. “ yes, that’s a good idea.” She agreed as she stood up, letting down her green hair. “ do you want me to walk you out?” She asked him with a smile.
-
Dr. Hunter said "Sure." and he stood up and grabbed the pizza he didn't touch all day and strangely no one else ate. It was pretty cold but he ate it anyway as he walked.
-
Dr. Kaine smiled and followed behind him sipping a cold coffee. She needed caffeine
-
As they walked, Ken asked "So how has life been treating you lately? Anything of significance happen recently?"
-
“ well I’ve had a few unusual dreams, but beyond that, just the same old boring routine.” The younger scientist explains as she downs the rest of her coffee
-
Ken was now intrigued and asked "How strange are these dreams? Do you remember them?"
-
“ not completely, usually I’m standing under water, or sometimes on an island, but not always.” Kaine comments as she thinks back to her reoccurring dreams.
“ I think sometimes there’s a voice that speaks to me, but I don’t remember anything else. Just that I’m meant to do something, I just don’t know what.” She hums. -
Ken said "Interesting. I wonder what it could all mean." He then changed the subject when he threw his plate away and said "So, my sister recently moved into my house."
-
“Oh, that’s interesting, is it difficult living with her?” She asked curiously. “ I only have younger siblings, who are way too young to live on their own anyway.”
-
Ken answered "She's fine to live with. She just a little depressed since losing her job at Kentel Insurance. I keep telling her, it wasn't her fault the business went bankrupt, but she just doesn't see it that way.
