“ I’ll approach the boss, and we’ll leave out the mess with the stolen research.” Demeter says as she walks to the heads office.
She sighs. This had not worked out well, and her headache was continuing. -
Ken said "Are you sure about this?" Persephone answered "Everything will be fine, Ken. I can help you now." Ken just sighed one more time and walked to the remains of the stone.

Demeter knocked on the door and waited for an answer. Things were getting weird. First her strange ass dreams.
Now this glowy spooky s---.
She was a scientist first, but she’d been around. She’d seen Gojira in person before. She could tell, this magetama had nothing to do with him.
As weird as the dreams were, she didn’t think they were connected to the stone. She’d considered a few times in the past that it might be linked to her trauma , or even somehow to gojira, but this was like nothing she’d ever seen,
She was curious about why the magetama reacted to Persephone, so she planned to do a few blood tests, just to confirm the girl wasn’t somehow like half kaiju -
The door opened and the secretary said "May I help you, Dr. Kaine?"

“ there’s been a breakthrough in research, and I need to speak to the boss.” She said slowly. “ it’s important.”

The secretary said "Come on in." She got to her desk and said in an intercom, "Dr. Takamasa, Dr. Kaine wishes to speak to you. She says it's important." The reply back was "Send her right in." The secretary pointed to the hallway, showing a door labeled "Head of Department."

Demeter walked inside, her lab coat swishing behind her,
“ Dr hunter and I have made a breakthrough, but we require a research assistant. “ she said bluntly,
“ we have a girl lined up for the job, Dr Hunters sister, she’s reliable and she’s here. “ she explained. -
Dr. Takamasa said "You made a breakthrough with the stone and require an assistant? I wouldn't call that very important. If you are in need of an assistant, I'm sure I could send someone else to help you. I'm not so sure we need someone new. Especially, if it's a family member."

“ that’s the thing, I don’t trust those people, I trust this girl. Without her, there won’t be any breakthroughs.” Demeter said.
“ The important part, is the breakthrough. We’re trying to keep it under wraps. There’s...been an interesting occurrence. The last research assistant you gave me spread the breakthrough all over the break room. Remember?” -
Dr. Takamasa said "True. Even being reprimanded, I'd rather not have Sargent Loose Lips blurt about it all to everyone, if it needs to be secret." He thought for a moment and said "Okay, I'll give the girl an interview. Have her come her effective immediately."

Demeter nods, before she goes and gets Persephone.

Persephone sat in a chair, waiting for Demeter to return.
Ken looked at the stone fragments in his microscope and found some unusual properties. It was made of an unidentified type of rock and he couldn't figure out where it came from. -
Demeter motioned for her to follow,
“ alright, so pretend we’ve been in contact for a while, you’ve been assisting us on the side with research, and we want you to become full time.” -
Persephone followed Demeter and nodded. She said "I just hope he doesn't ask questions about you or how I know you." When they approached, the secretary said "Ms. Hunter, we've been expecting you. Go to the hallway and step into his office please."

Demeter followed in behind her. She was hoping the girl could think up a lie on the spot, just in case she was told to leave.
