Danny hopped in the bed of Alice's truck, saving the other seats for the twins. He let Akumu sit in the backseats until he could completely return to his human form. He didn't mind though. "Guys, those dudes in black, are part of some sort of government organization called NEST. If I had to guess, they're looking for people like us. I don't know why, but for the time being we have to assume that they aren't people that we can trust. Not unless they prove so otherwise. Just keep a look out for any kind of suspicious people, ok?"
(spoiler alert: NEST is kinda like SHIELD, but I'll get more into that later. Also, I plan on doing more than one part to this, so my question is, should I make an entire new thread once this has concluded, or should we just keep using this one?) -

Alice heard what Danny said but wondered how he could have possibly known that. Maybe he found a badge or maybe he remembered it when they flashed the badge. Didn't really matter right now as she began to drive. She asked Akumu "How ya doing back there, lad?"
Angel sat down in front of her mirror in her house. Somehow her skin tone hanged from tan to white. She wasn't sure what happened other than an explosion somewhere knocking her out. Maybe she just needed sun after being asleep for 2 months
(Just to be clear, Alice doesn't know Danny found the badge. Only me) -
Akumu lifted his hand in a 'so-so' gesture, having managed to regain a mostly normal appearence, though hos body was black with a faint blue sheen to it. "I think im getting the hang of this" he said

Adonis followed next to Alice's truck. All was going well on her drive until, once again, something strange happened. Adonis was so focused on getting to the lab.. she felt a strange sensation tingle through her body. A black circle appeared in the road in front of her, appearing to be a wormhole or portal. Adonis didn't have time to brake, so she rode her motorcycle right into it. She was in completely darkness, the temperature had cooled a little, just like what had happened on the stairs. All of this only lasted for a second before she appeared back into the normal world again, this time right in front of the lab. She quickly stopped before her motorcycle could crash into it. There didn't seem to be much to crash into, the lab was a mess of rubble and debris. Adonis's hands started to fall through her motorcycle's handles, and she looked at them to realize that her skin was see-through. Oh gosh, did she die? Was she a ghost? The others wouldn't be there for another few minutes, she was terrified.

When everyone arrived at the lab, Danny hopped out of the bed of the truck, and began to look for Adonis. He had to tell her what he told the others. Although he had to word it better. He completely omitted the part about learning the name of NEST through the nurse when he went to check out after grabbing the keys. Danny couldn't see her anywhere though. "Wait here until Adonis gets here, guys. We shouldn't go in the lab without her. "
He looked around at where the lab used to stand, where only rubble was.
"Or what's left of the lab that is." He peered to his right and saw her motorcycle, but not Adonis. He approached it, and briefly touched it. It was warm, as in it had been used. He turned and looked at the others, then spun around, trying to find his friend. "Adonis?" -
Alice saw what happened to Adonis in her rearview mirror. She didn't know what had happened but all the same, continued to the lab. When she saw Adonis' motorcycle just sitting there without her, she began to worry. Alice then started hearing the voices again, in the trees.
Angel's Dad, Mr. Pride, came into her room and said "How's my little shining Angel?" Angel said "Fine, I guess. I just don't understand why my skin turned white. An not normal white, just porcelain like a doll." Mr. Pride patted his daughter's shoulder and said "I'm sure it's fine. Just a slight mutation." -
The twins didnt notice what had happened, as tgey where quietly talking to each other to calm each other down. By the time the group arrived at the remains of the lab, Akumu had managed to regain his human form completely, though his eyes where a much brighter blue, bordering on being neon. The twins climbed out of the truck when it stopped and Yume blinked in confusion when he saw Adonis' motorcycle but not Adonis

"Until I get here? Danny, I'm already here. Can't you guys see me?!" Adonis said, her voice coming out from seemingly thin air. "Oh gosh, I'm dead aren't I," Adonis said with panic. At this point she started to become slightly visible, though it was a slow process, like every second made her more solid, bit by bit. Adonis was still see-through, but now more translucent than transparent.

Danny jumped at first when hearing Adonis's voice come from seemingly thin air. He even let out a quick scream. "Ah Holy Crap!!"
He then saw her slowly appearing, becoming more and more visible and quickly blurted out "Don't do that! Wait, you have powers too! How did you do that?" He asked, poking at Adonis, trying to see if he could actually poke her, or if his hand would go through her.
Frost began walking down the streets of the city, amazed at all the damage that had been done. "Damn," he whispered to himself. "Whatever happened here left the city into a total s---hole." The city was nearly vacant after the majority of the town was evacuated, including some of the police force, giving Frost the perfect opportunity to test out his new powers -
Alice jumped when Adonis came from no where. "What the hell, Adonis?" She still couldn't focus though, she was still hearing the voices coming from the trees.
Mr. Pride said "I am more concerned about your voice. Let me hear you sing." Angel nodded and sung a simple note. She asked "How was that?" and in a weird voice said "Yes, mistress." This freaked Angel out a little and she saw her dad with a blank expression on his face. She tried to get his attention by snapping and waving her hands in front of him. She then said "Why are you acting this way?" Mr. Pride answered "I am under your control. Command me to do whatever you want." -
Akumu stared at Adonis in confusion before he just turned and headed for the truck "thats it thats enough weirdness for one da- ack!" he was cut off as his leg destabilised and he fell down face first

Danny's hand did indeed go through Adonis's skin, she was like jello. "Hey!" She said, taking a step back, officially freaked out more than before. "Huh? Did you say powers? I don't want powers, get them off!" Adonis said, prancing around like ants were in her pants. Powers were so much more of a burden than a real help, Adonis didn't want any part of the craziness. She paused to chuckle as Akumu tripped though, it seemed help her calm down and think about this. "Logically speaking, we must all have developed some kind of power, right? We were all so close to the explosion, with the mix match of chemicals, plus the radiation, not to mention the simultaneous chemical reactions that must've taken place due to the heat of the fire.." -
"Yeah," Danny said nodding. "you're right. Not to mention that this was a genetics research lab. Maybe some other thing they were working on made their way into our DNA. The point is our DNA was altered after the explosion, and we need to figure out what we can do, and find a way to fix it. The only power I seem to have is super speed. Maybe some bit of strength too. Back after we were talking to that construction worker, and I had left to see if my parents were home...." Danny go quiet. knowing that his family had to leave, and that he couldn't see them made him sad. "They weren't there..." he said, in a melancholic tone, in the same tone, he said "I had left the house and I was upset, you know cuz.....anyway I hit the drive way, and I put quite the crack in it. It didn't really even hurt doing that. So I don't know what else I can do. What about the rest of you? I mean, we know Adonis can turn herself invisible it seems, and into some kind of gelatinous form," Danny said, poking at Adonis, "And he can turn into goo, or something. What about everyone else?"
