Avalon helped Gineye untangle the fishing lines. Once he got one untangled, he looked at Finn and said "Okay, here's what you do. First, you must bait the hook with the worm by sticking it on there. And then you need to make sure that no one is behind you before you throw the line into the water." As Avalon explained this, he demonstrated with the pole he had.

(Puppet has also requested to be skipped)
Finn copies Avalon as best as he can, like a little bird trying to follow the leader. After a few minutes of this Arwyn eventually staggers over and grabs a rod. "I'm gonna fish for food, not fun," She says before anyone tries to question her motives. Finn smiles at her anyways, and she tsks in return.
All in all, for an hour or two everything is calm and peacful. Sin sleeps. Avalon, Gineye, Finn, and Arwyn fish. Aspen steers. Nothing could go wrong. -
Avalon smiled at Finn. For him, this felt like having his child back. Avalon has always wanted someone to fish with but he couldn't with anyone in his village nor with Lenore. To him, this was as close as he could get for now and he was happy with that.
-
Gineye finished untangling his line and plopped himself down on the railing of the ship, casting out his line to fish with the others
(If I can work up the energy I'm planning on drawing this scene:)) -
Sin blinks their eyes open tiredly, and yawns, before they would stumble over to come sit beside Gineye, and watching everyone else fish, feeling happy now that everyone's getting along.
-
After a while of collecting fish, Arwyn's line catches on something. At first she thinks it's normal, but as she winds it in she sees that it's not a fish, but a long and spindly hand that got tangled in her hook. "What in the fresh fúck?!" Arwyn says as she looks down to see that the hand is connected to a long arm that goes down and under the water.
The hand lurches forward and suddenly grabs onto Sin's leg. It tugs a bit, but the creature, whatever it is, doesn't seem to have a lot of strength and it's mostly just a nuisance. -
(I hope you'll have the energy. I'd love to see it.)
Avalon looked at the hand, dropped his fishing pole in fright and shouted "What the heck is that?" He tried to see if he could pull it off Sin's leg. -
Gineye saw the hand and got up "I swear to the f---ings gods if thats a mother f---ing false hydra im nuking the lake" he said as he summoned an ax, moving to hit the hand
-
The tired vessel tries to kick at the hand, becoming very distressed, as sin tries to get it off of him.
-
The hand let's go of Sin and falls limply back to the water through the combined efforts of Sin's kicking and Avalon's pulling. Arwyn holds a hand out to stop Gineye. "I don't think that's what it is," She says, pointing at the water.
It was hard to tell what the creature was, exactly. It had long and wavy kelplike hair that obscured most of the view of what it looked like under the water, how big it was, etc. Finn squints to see if he could make it oit better, but the hand suddenly lurches back and grabs onto his arm next. -
Avalon grabbed Finn to keep him up. He then pulled up the arm and bit into it with his fangs, injecting his venom into whatever was down there. He hoped it wasn't immune to it, otherwise this was pointless and a waste of venom.
