Kenitu gave her another look of caution. “...Kenitu.” She said, mumbling a few words in Amharic. “Kenitu Teferi.”
-
“Mine were there. My sister and her son. She probably feels really guilty for letting me pull it off, and he probably feels crushed...” Emily sighed, rubbing her head.
-
"Nice to meet you, Kenitu! I'm Jamie," Jamie said, offering out a hand for Kenitu to shake.
Evangeline patted Emily on the back. "That's okay. It happens to everyone at some point," she said referring to death. -
Kenitu looked at her hand with fear and did not take it, instead looking out the window and flipping Jamie off. “Begone.” She mumbled, holding tightly onto herself.
-
"Aw, but I just sat down," said Jamie, ignoring the rude gesture. "No hand shakes, I get it," Jamie said. Jamie, too, looked out the window and saw that they had already started moving. The train was silent, then.
-
Matthew looked to the ground and thought about the question. He wasn't sure what his mom was doing right now. Or his fans for that matter. They probably all got the word by now that he was dead.
-
Connor thought for a fleeting moment of his own family, and smiled sadly, thinking of how sad they must be to see him go. "Death hits the best of us." he said with a shrug.

Kenitu barely heard her, before she saw her own reflection in the glass and gasped with intrigue. She wasn't wearing makeup!
She checked her pockets for any, but there was none. -
Emily smiled as she watched them chatter and looked out the window. They appeared to be passing through an odd city with every single house being the exact same wooden house and every single building being the same steel and glass sky scraper. The roads were perfect, as were the side walks. However despite how painfully plain the city was, every car and person in it looked extremely unique. You couldn’t find two cars, outfits, or animals that were the same. The trees were all apple trees, and the feilds were filled with dandelions. “Outside your windows, you’ll see Silver City, also known as, The Medium Place. It’s a party, adventure, and more every day here! This is where your home will be if you complete the challenge.” The intercom spoke.
-
"Silver train, silver city, what does it all mean??" Evangeline asked. She noticed Kenitu checking in her pocket for something and Evangeline did the same, wondering where her SIG was, but it wasn't on her. "Gosh darn," she said sadly. A gun was a man's true best friend, she'd always say. Wherever they were going, she hoped they could have the supplies to allow her to build another pistol, since she knew all about guns and took apart and rebuilt them many times.
Jamie, on the other hand, was watching Kenitu silently again, deciding that most attempts at conversation would fail. They sighed onto the window and drew a little smiley face on the foggy portion. -
(I chose silver because it’s often used for modern, second place, the middle, futuristic, new, etc.)
-
Matthew said "Now this looks really nice. I wonder if they have room for a singer here."
-
“That’s if we get there. They said something about a challenge.” Emily replied with a shrug.
-
"What kind of challenge?" Connor said curiously. He was more excited then frightened of anything. The albino was grateful for any type of consciousness at all.

Kenitu heard the intercom and heaved a sigh of relief. Hopefully, some shop somewhere had makeup. And a phone. She would kill for a selfie. -
The train stopped eventually and upon looking out the window, Emily saw they were in front of a small cottage in the middle of grasslands that stretched for miles. “This is where you get off. The Oracle will explain things to you.” The train told them.
-
"Awesome sauce," Evangeline said, punching a fist into the air. She trailed her hand across the walls and chairs as she made her way to the exit, full of excitement.
"Why do you not like hand shakes? Or do you just not like people in general?" Jamie asked Kenitu, not really expecting an answer but getting it known to her that Jamie was curious.
