Jessica smiled as her awkwardness faded and her confidence returned. "I came for information. I hope you don't mind." She replied with a smirk. She wasn't wearing the mask, since he knew her identity anyways.
-
-
"Well Dad would kill me if i said no to such a nice girl as yourself; come on in." Ajax said, doing one of his signature bows and opening the door wide for Jessica. "What kind of information?" he asked.
-
Jessica chuckled and rolled her eyes. "I certainly wouldn't say I'm nice." She hummed as she looked around. "I can be cruel if I want to be." She told him with a smirk. "Anyways, what I came to ask... Why do you take such interest in me?" She asked, now being more genuine in her body language.
-
"Interest? Oh! Well, I dunno, probably whatever my sister told you. You asked her the same question, right? She's much more convenient than me right now. I'm sure my crush on you can't be the only reason you're here though, can it? That's boring. Why not stay for a little while?" he said, his motions and words quick, almost blended together. When he was tired he let a lot of his thought slip through his filter.
-
Jessica nodded and looked around. "Hmm... Your sister said it's because I'm new and attractive. If you feel the same way, that's probably a good thing. Easier for all three of us. Both of you will be bored of me eventually, and this game of yours, entertaining despite it's risks, will be over eventually and there will be no winner, just the next competition you move on to." Jessica mused as she walked to the door in a rather quick pace. "That's all I needed to know... Thank you." She continued.
-
Ajax stood up and grabbed Jessica by the wrist before she left. "Woah wait, that's all she said? And you believed her?" He said, brow furrowed. He refused to think his sister was that shallow. Sure she fell for looks, but that wasn't all she was ever looking for.
-
Jessica blinked at the grip on her arm. “Well it’s typical for that to be what teenagers take interest in. It isn’t typical for teenagers to... get attached for the right reasons...” Jessica explained.
-
"It's also not typical for teenagers to be immortal." Ajax said, letting go. "I'm just saying." He laughed slightly. "I'm sure that if you hung out with us some more, you'd find we don't get attached so easily. Besides; there's more to me then meets the eye." He says with a wink.
-
Jessica backed up a bit and sighed. "I don't know if I can risk that..." She muttered as she looked at the ground.
-
"Risk...?" Ajax asked, tilting his head to the side slightly. "What do you mean by that?"
-
Jessica realized she was letting a little too much slip. She grabbed her mask and put it on to hide her nervousness as she returned to her cool confidence. "Nothing, Nothing. Never you mind that. See you later hotness." She replied before walking out the door. She tried to start her jet pack, but she was having a bit of trouble from having it in the cold too long. "Why does this have to start acting up when I'm in the middle of a dramatic exit!?!" She muttered.
-
"You use that line way too often." Ajax said playfully, letting the whole 'risk' thing go immediately. He turned on his heat vision so lightly that it was more like a heater than something that could melt diamonds. "Here, let me help." He said looking at the jetpack.
-
"Yeah cause it's practiced. I used it a lot at my old school to get the attention idiot boys so I could make them do stuff sir me and let me focus during class. I repurposed it to be a distraction when I met you, because I knew you could catch up with my motorcycle if I didn't throw you off." She expalined truthfully.
-
“Sooooo flirty Jessica is a distraction. Got it.” He said, blinking and turning off the heat vision. “Your jet pack should be fine now...”
