"What about you? What's your teacher like?" Cassady asked, remembering their conversation earlier.
-
Daniel said "My teacher was a calm kind of teacher. He taught me balance and precision. He gave me words of wisdom when I needed them."
-
Cassady smiled. "That's nice." She replied, wishing her teacher had given her more advice. He had advised her about clothing that was best for moving around in. However she assumed he had a double purpose with that. All his other advice was probably useful. He was a good teacher. If only he had allowed her to focus on what he was telling her instead of taking advantage of her.
-
Daniel said "10 years ago, he died and he told me something. Fire and Ice will make peace."
-
Cassady smiled. "Do you think he meant us?" She asked. She knew it was corny and out of no where. But it lifted her spirits a bit.
-
Daniel said "I'm not sure. But I get the feeling that it did mean us."
-
Cassady smiled and wiped some tears from her eyes. "Well... if Mordac got captured on purpose to get to the unicorn... that means all our hard work didn't really do anything the last time. So how are we supposed to catch Mordac for good this time?" Cassady wondered. "He told me he was a fire knight at one point. I... I could ask the teacher about anything he knows about weaknesses a fire Knight has when they go dark." Cassady offered.
-
Daniel said "That might work. Then I'll go and see if I can find out the scource of his shadows."
-
Cassady knocked on her instructors cabin door with a sharp breath. "Come in." A voice thick with grief told her. Cassady entered the door and saw the instructor at his kitchen table, staring into space, regret lining his face. "If I hadn't been so ignorant... So focused on my plans... If I hadn't been so busy tormenting you... I would have been focusing on my job. I would have gone with the rookie knights and made sure they kept the bloody hand cuffs on... Then that poor creature wouldn't be dead right now." He sobbed. "Plans?" Cassady asked, sitting across from him.
"I wanted be a knight so that I could train myself to protect my family. When you got that other teacher fired for harassment, I was made to take his place. I am good at teaching. But I never wanted to be a teacher of fighting. The higher rank meant I had to live at the castle. I rarely get to see my family. So... I figured... If I harassed you, you'd get me fired as well." He explained, chuckling at himself. "A bloody selfish strategy. And look what it cost everyone." He muttered, wiping tears from his face. Cassady looked at him in surprise.
(The teacher's character was making the role play a bit difficult and is adding a drag on the role play. So I am adding to the character to make him work better.) -
(I'm okay with that.)
Daniel went to the town library to look up any information on Mordac. -
"I... I know this is a bad time... But I need information on Fire Knights that go dark, and what their weaknesses are. The information will help us find a weakness for Mordac." I requested. "You'll have to find that in the Library. The book is Knights Gone Wrong and Everything to Know. You'll want chapter seven for fire knights, and chapter ten for extra elements." He explained. "Thank you. And... I understand your predicament." I told him, giving him a look of forgiveness before leaving.
-
Daniel couldn't find a book specially on Mordac. But he was able to find a book on shadow magic. He figure it would be of good use.
-
Cassady walked over to the library and searched for the book he told her about. She then went to find Daniel to show him.
-
Daniel saw Cassady and came to her. He whispered "You find out anything?"
-
"Yes. The teacher told me that chapter seven and chapter ten will talk about Fire Knights that went dark and other elements a Knight can learn after going rouge. This should tell us the weaknesses." She told him.
