Cassady was happy that he understood. She was still a bit sad to see him leave. You had to let yourself get close to him. Didn't you. She thought, sighing. Suddenly, Claire sprang to her feet and started panicking. "Claire? What's wrong?" Cassady asked, trying to calm the horse down. "Whoa girl!" Cassady yelled, trying to get her horse to calm down.

Daniel kept walking until he felt a chill coming up his back. And not the kind he was used to. This felt like an evil chill.

Cassady frowned and could feel it. "Mordac. At least show yourself." Cassady muttered, tired of his tricks.

Mordac appeared behind her and said "So, giving up the knights position. That's what I did."

Cassady's eyes opened in shock as she turned to him. "I'm nothing like you. Don't even try it." She told him, anger covering her fear at what he said as she gripped her sword.

Mordac said "Maybe not now. But we're more alike than you think. I was a fire knight too, harassed by my teacher who angrily demanded perfection I couldn't provide."

"Why do you even care if I'm like you in the future or not? I'm certainly not going to help you now." Cassady told him, her fist glowing on fire.

Mordac said "I never said I cared. I'm just here to gloat." He took his hands out of his pockets and in his hands were a piece of iron, petrified darkness and a vial of blood.

"I hate you. Sucks a bit that I'll have to risk my freedom. I'll make sure the handcuffs are left on this time." She told him, sending the blue fireball she had used to earlier signal Claire. She hoped Daniel would notice it as she took out her sword and swung it at Mordac.

Mordac dodged and said "Sorry. I'm taking my leave." and he teleported away. Daniel came and said "What's wrong?"

"Mordac was here. Stupid gaurds took the handcuffs off." Cassady groaned, returning the sword. "He just stood there mocking me. Then when I thought I had him off gaurd and attacked he disappeared." She added, kicking the ground in frustration.

Daniel said "He does that." Just then a loud scream was heard from the castle. It sounded like the king.

"He had iron, a crystal, and the vial of blood. He still needs the baby dragon." Cassady told Daniel. "So what should we do? Protect the finale ingredient? Or protect the king?" She asked nervously.

Daniel said "He probably won't go after the ingredient until tomorrow. Dragons are nocturnal, so they're active at night only. We need to help the king."

Cassady nodded. "Okay." She replied, getting onto Claire. "So... Now that you know what my life is like... What's your life story?" Cassandra asked, wanting to know more about him.
