Daniel did what she said and made the staircase.
The Golem kept walking until Mordac showed up. Mordac saw the golem moving. He knew that the petrified darkness was in that golem and alive. -
"Now that we know where the thing Mordac is looking for is, we can gaurd it. It is up at the head of the creature. So when Mordac comes in the opening we can blast him." Cassady told Daniel as she easily broke the ice holds and walked carefully but quickly down the stairs.

Daniel tried to follow her, all the while having flashbacks to his first encounter.
Mordac went in front of the golem and just like Daniel said, it said "Security breach." and then tried to fire the hard light at Mordac. It missed and Mordac ran. It began the chase. -
Cassady smirked as she listened to the sounds above. "Looks like this think is a good protecter for its power source." Cassady cheered before looking up at him. "You okay?" She asked, wondering if there was still tension after their earlier fight. Even though she would risk falling if she stood on these stairs too long, she walked back up so she could face him. "Er... I'm sorry about the stuff I said earlier... About ice knights being cowards." Cassady apologized, shuffling her feet to keep from melting through the ice,

Daniel said "It's okay, and I'm sorry for what I said about fire knights not being chill."
Mordac kept running and teleporting to get it to the other golem that was alive. -
"Oh, that ones accurate." Cassady chuckled honestly. "We have no chill." She admitted. "I think I'm the only one who uses my no chill for thrill though. The others prefer using it for payback, dramatics, feeding their egos, dating, competition, punishments, or just to start a fight for the hell of it." She added. A yelp escaped her lips when she felt her heel melt a small hole in the stair, causing her to trip and fall backwards.

Daniel grabbed her arm and helped Cassady up.

Cassady blushed as she regained her footing. "Standing here is too risky for me. I better get down." She sighed, quickly but carefully walking down the stairs. Eventually she reached the foot. It was a bit scary there. But there was little chance of death compared to standing up there. So it was like a carnival ride.

Mordac lead the golem to another golem and both thought the other was an intruder. Soon they started fighting each other.

"s---. This may not be working as planned." Cassady muttered as the Golem started getting attacked. "I have an idea! I'll burn two small holes in the leg. We can use them to use our powers to help this Golem win." Cassady suggested.

Daniel said "I like that plan."
Mordac didn't much care who won. He just wanted one or both to shut down so he can get the reactivated petrified darkness. -
Cassady cut open two holes with her sword. They were big enough to see through and blast their powers through. She aimed her hands at her own hole but hesitated. "If that one is the one who gets knocked out, we won't be able to ambush Mordac in here." She realized, not realizing she said it out loud. She adjusted her hands, aiming at the unknowing Mordac instead of the other Golem. She waited until he flew above the fight and shot him with a strong blast. She hoped it would cause him to fall into the crossfire so that the Golems would turn their attention to him.

Daniel was about to freeze the other golems legs but heard what Cassady said.
Mordac landed on the ground from Cassady's fire. The golems saw this and turned their sights on him. Mordac started to fly away as they worked together to try and catch him. -
Cassady smiled as she watched the Golems attack Mordac.

Daniel smiled as the golem chased Mordac.
Mordac however was smarter than he looked. He knew the fire he was hit with meant someone was inside on of the golems. He now had to formulate a plan to get inside one of the golems.
