"Should we document this? I'm sure this could be a place for archeologist and historians to study in the future." Cassady commented as she studied the symbolism.
-
Daniel said "If archeologists want to be burned by golems that are still alive in pursuit of some weird markings, let them do it themselves."
-
Cassady rolled her eyes. "You know, every time I start to think that maybe you aren't so bad, you go and get all rude, closed off, or arrogant again." She blurted. She wasn't sure why she cared about his behaviour so much. Shouldn't she had expected him to be like this? Him being an ice knight and all? "Though, I shouldn't be surprised. Given your element, I guess the last thing you want is to be warmed up to." Cassady muttered.
-
Daniel said "What's that supposed to mean?"
-
"Well, maybe you ice knights act so cold because you're afraid if someone acts warmly to you you'll melt." Cassandra replied with a smirk.
(I'm thinking they get lost in a fight, then the Golem wakes up. Not knowing they are there, the Golem spots another intruder and starts attacking Mordac while the knights kinda panic inside.) -
(That could work.)
Daniel said "Oh really? What about you fire knights? Do you do dangerous stuff because if you chilled out, you'd pithier out?"
Unknown to them, a peice of petrefied darkness was on a pedestal, barley glowing. -
Cassady sighed and crossed her arms. "Maybe I just like to live a little. Maybe my life sucks so I want reasons to enjoy it! While you would prefer to look at what's wrong with life and need things to be done the 'right way'." She yelled, realizing she admitted the fact that she wasn't happy with her life. Right now she was angry though, and didn't care. "W at to know something? I know why we lost that first battle. And I know why Ice knights can't get along with fire knights." She told him. "Want to know why?" She asked.
-
Daniel said "Why?"
Their argument echoed through the golem and started to effect the petrified darkness. It started to glow brighter. -
"Because they are afraid. Fear is a dangerous thing and can turn to anger. Ice knights are afraid of fire knights because it would take longer for an ice Knight to suffocate a fire knight with cold, than it would take for a fire knight to swiftly melt an ice knight with their heat." Cassady told him, her fist turning to fire as she stood closed to him. The cold tingling she got from standing closer to him made her more angry. "As for loosing the battle... I held back. I was afraid if I missed, I would hit you. I hesitated in battle, a grave mistake. But guess what? I don't think I'll be making that mistake again." She told him. She hoped that he wouldn't ask why she cared about hitting him, because she couldn't even admit the reason to herself.
-
Daniel said "I'm not afraid of you. You're afraid of me. Even with your fire, I can incase you and render you immobile." His hand started glowing blue and ice began forming around his feet. He said "If you're not gonna hold back, then I won't either."
The darkness kept glowing brighter and brighter as the argument intensified. -
Cassady frowned as she studied him. Something didn't feel right though. Yeah, she had a temper that went off a lot. But this was something different. The anger felt like a hot needle in her chest and like the urge to kill, more than her usual feeling of anger that felt like bricks on her shoulders and gave her the urge to storm off. She returned her fist to normal and loosened them. That's when she noticed the purple glow that seemed to feed off of their anger. However it was too late. The Golem they were inside began to move.
-
Daniel felt the movement and said "Earthquake."
Soon the petrified darkness fully powered the golem they were in and it tore it's arms out of the Earth and began standing up. -
"Quick! Make a floor or something with your ice!" She told him. She kept in as much heat as possible so that the ice would keep them both from falling.
-
Daniel tried to freeze his legs and Cassady's legs to the floor they were standing on to keep them stable.
The golem soon stood up and began to walk around. -
Cassady was beginning to panic, and for t first time in a long time she didn't bother trying to hold in her fear. She could feel her feet get wet. She could feel the ice melt. She could try to melt the metal onto her hands. That would be a more painful way to stay up though and would make the ice holding her up melt faster. "Maybe you could make a staircase to the feet?" She asked, feeling embarrassed from her panic.
