brightfire Newbiefrostheart didn't listen for the one time in his life; instead he hurled himself at the tom and knocked him off her, then helped her up and bolted. violetstar hung back to attack the tom, refusing to let them help her.

Fogtail had her tail between her legs as she readied herself to pounce onto the Tom, not about to let her old friend fight alone.

brightfire Newbiefrostheart grabbed her by the scruff and dragged her away. violetstar let out a yowl but managed to knock the tom into a tree before bolting, a thick gash on her neck.

Fogtail yowled and rushed to her friend, pushing her down. "Don't be so reckless, Vi! You're a Queen now! Snowkit needs you!"

brightfire Newbie"i'm the leader of the clan! i'm fine; i still have 9 lives left!" she gasped. frostheart supported her with his shoulder before she leapt onto highrock and announced a fighting patrol to get rid of the rouges. snowkit squealed and looked scared as his mother tried to convince him she was fine.

Fogtail growled deep within her throat before sulking to the medicine den, glaring at random things.

Fogtail sighed and rushed off, staying out for the night and lying out by the stream.

violetstar, after frostheart had treated her gash, was curled up with snowkit. she and him fell asleep easily. the thing was, snowkit was about to be 6 moons old the next day, and she had planned everything. -

violetstar stretched and woke up. snowkit was in front of her, his brown eyes staring at hers excitedly. "is it?" she was confused, then remembered. "ah, yes, it is!" snowkit squealed and went to tell vixenkit and sunkit. violetstar just stretched and tracked fogtail. "whats wrong?" -
Fogtail didn't reply, simply staring out at the water. Finally, she spoke up. "I don't know what to do, Vi... I want desperately to be a queen, to have kits of my own, but I'm not attracted to toms... it's impossible for me..."

brightfire Newbievioletstar pondered this. "hmm. i'll try my best to help. maybe a surrogate tom?" she knew it was a terrible concept but she might as well toss it out.

Fogtail shook her head, "I just wish I was born a tom... the she cat I desire so strongly has already mated and has a kit of her own..."

"convince starclan. i mean, jayfeather could see in his dreams and read minds, while lionblaze was invincible and dovewing had incredible senses. why can't they do that?" she meowed.
