Kate didn't notice that he had heard. She kept looking at the moon, and sat down. Her eyes were glued onto the moon, nothing else.
It was then that she jumped.
She jumped off the branch. -
Shadows eyes widened in surprise

Inch by inch, Kate fell, her back turned to the ground. Her eyes were still on the full moon.
She smiled.
She flipped around, turning her left back paw to the ground first.
And then she landed. Her left back paw going first. -
When she landed, she laid silent for a moment. Nothing else was broken besides her left back paw. Kate smiled sadly, and closed her eyes slowly.

Shadow went over to her "are you ok?"

Kate lay still, eyes closed, and silent. Her left back paw stood out, broken and bloody.

Shadow sniffed at her paw

A small shadow in the distance watched. The figure was the shape of a cat, but it also had stars in it's fur. It whispered in Shadow's ear: "Take her back home." It placed a paw on Kate's leg, suddenly turning it bandaged up, and it said, "She will never walk on it agian." It disappeared.

Shadow looked confused but her picked her up and took her home

When Shadow got home and put her on a blanket, Kate woke up and opened her eyes slightly. She looked over at her forever wounded leg. She stayed quiet.

Shadow looked at her in concern

Kate stayed silent as she moved towards Shadow, limping, her head down. When she got to him, she slipped u DER his wing and curled up under it. She snuggled up next to him.

Shadow smiled

Kate fell asleep. 'Remember what I said, moon,' she thought.

Shadow curled around her
