"Mmmhm," Antonio agreed, tapping his fingers to the beat on his seat. He perked up at the request to translate it, and debated singing, but decided he'd just say it as nicely as he could. He chuckled before he said it, because he thought it didn't sound quite as romantic in English as it was in Spanish. "The sun is almost down, and I want to hug you, my love. I want to make love to you, let's take advantage of the fact that the sun is down."
-
Lovino giggled, blushing at the words. "So what, do Spanish people only screw at night then?" he asked. The drive to the studio wasn't long, and he pulled into the parking lot right as the song was ending.
-
"Well, a little Italian birdy did tell me that morning sex is not decent. So, perhaps Spaniards know the strings. Night time is the best time." He turned off the radio when the song was over, and instinctively straightened his tie again. "Ready?"
-
Lovino huffed, nudging him. "I didn't say not decent. Just...not when there's an interview to go to. On days where there's nothing to do it's perfectly acceptable." he responded, stepping out of the car. "Okay...hopefully this won't take too damn long." he muttered.
-
"Ooh," Antonio hummed. "So maybe some other day, then?" He chuckled, then stepped out of the vehicle as well. "I'm excited. I heard she gives all of her guests special Ellen brand underwear. Or at least, the boy guests."
-
Lovino blushed, swatting his arm. "S-Shut up!" he sighed and swallowed, growing nervous as they entered the studio. "And what makes you think I want special underwear?" he asked, as a few wardrobe managers dragged them into another room to fix their hair and straighten their ties.
-
Antonio wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, but quite jokingly, of course. "Well, you may not want special underwear, but I sure do." He was grateful that people with proper combs and hairspray were fixing his hair up, and soon it looked as shiny and bouncy as usual.
-
Lovino quickly shooed away his own stylists, tossing his bangs out of his eyes with a quick flick of his head. "Don't need any help," he grumbled, scowling. But the expression quickly morphed into a fake, polite, practiced smile as the two of them were pushed on set. Lovino was quick to let Antonio go first and take his seat, the crows clapping as a blonde woman called their names.
-
Antonio's smile was very cheery and genuine, as he waved towards the crowd. He took a seat in a cushy white armchair, crossing his legs, and smiling to Lovino.
-
Lovino followed close behind him, sitting down in the chair beside him. He offered a little wave to the crowd, blushing at all the applause. He glanced over at Antonio, looking a little unsure. There was a lot that would happen here. Coming out could do a lot of things to Lovino's career, and he was scared.
-
The crowd seemed to settle down after a minute, and then it was just Lovino, Antonio and the blonde lady. She smiled at them, and started off with, "Antonio Carriedo and Lovino Vargas. God, that's foreign. So, you've got a new movie out together. Two attractive guys, and the plot line is a bit sensual, isn't it? Have either of you done a movie like this before?"
-
Lovino blushed and shook his head. "No, nothing like this. It's...a little odd, being filmed doing the stuff we're doing." he said honestly. He hated pulling away from a kiss with Antonio just to hear someone yell 'cut'.
-
Antonio giggled, and nodded. "It's weird to have a really romantic moment and then have someone tell you to stop because it wasn't romantic enough. It's awkward." The blonde lady laughed, and nodded.
"I'd be freaked out," she said, and it made the crowd laugh as well. "So, no experience in roles like this. Lovino, you're especially inexperienced, if you don't mind me saying. Antonio, you've been with men, but Lovino, you've been dating women, haven't you?" -
Lovino froze up, not expecting the topic to be brought up so soon in the interview. "O-Oh, well, um, actually..." he trailed off, glancing away from the cameras. "I, um...m-me and Antonio are dating right now." The collective gasp from the crowd made him cringe.
-
Antonio could tell that Lovino had gotten uncomfortable, so he did what was natural for him and tried to lighten the mood. "Yes, see, we even have matching ties," he said, holding his out for example. Ellen seemed distracted by this, because she leaned forward for a closer look.
"A happy couple with matching dolphin ties!" She laughed, grinning, and gesturing towards their ties.
