Feliciano smiled, shaking his hand and looking very much like he might faint. "I-It's nice to meet you too!" he chirped, giggling. "Oh, oh! Would you two like to sit down?"
-
Antonio was a little afraid that Feliciano actually might faint, so he was glad when they were offered a table. He pulled his hand away, nodding, "Yeah, please."
-
Lovino smiled at his brother. "Grazie, Feli. Make sure you keep Grandpa away, okay? And when Papa gets back...just...tell him I'm still trying, okay?" The younger nodded, bringing them to a table. "I'll tell Mama you stopped by too, she'll be happy you came. Would you two like drinks? We have the best wine."
-
Antonio sat down, across from Lovino, and politely shook his head. "I don't think I'll have any. You can, though, Lovi. I'll drive us home."
-
Lovino nodded, never one to pass up an offer to drink real Italien wine. "Okay, you know what I want." Feli nodded and smiled. "Antonio, would you like some water or soda or something?"
-
"Water, please," he said, smiling. "Thanks, Feliciano." He definitely though that the two Vargas brothers were different, but he still liked Lovino much better.
-
Feliciano nodded and smiled. "No problem!" He chirped, hurrying off to get the drinks. He'd barely been gone five seconds when a loud laugh sounded. Lovino groaned, rubbing his temples. "I regret this so much. Next time we're going somewhere else, anywhere else." he muttered. "Lovino! My God, it's been ages! This the new boyfriend Feli's been squealing about?" another older man stood over the table, grinning at them. "Grandpa, we're just getting a quick lunch, then we're going." Lovino explained. The man pouted, looking dissatisfied. "You're not even going to introduce me?" The younger Italian rolled his eyes and sighed. "Antonio, this my Grandpa Roma. Grandpa, this is my boyfriend Antonio. Now you can go." Roma, of course, ignored Lovino, sticking a hand out. "Lovely to meet you, Antonio."
-
Antonio smiled sheepishly at the man who was apparently Lovino's grandfather, and he felt funny meeting all of Lovino's family-they were all so different. He hoped Lovino wouldn't want to meet his, he would hate them. "Hi, you too," he said, reaching out and shaking his hand.
-
Roma laughed and grinned. "So you're the one sleeping with Lovino? How'd you do that? He's always so uptight. Unless he's drunk..." his gaze hardened. "You haven't-" "Grandpa!" Lovino interrupted, blushing scarlet and glaring. "You need to go."
-
Antonio's cheeks were pink, trying to explain politely that he hadn't had sex with Lovino at all. "W-we haven't, uhm, done that."
-
Roma chuckled. "That makes more sense." he frowned at his grandson. "Although, the articles I've seen are making you out to be a bit of a slut, what's that about? This isn't going to be like last time, is it?" Lovino paled and shook his head. "No, G-Grandpa, it's not. Get out, I'll visit soon, okay? We're just here for lunch." Roma seemed to realize he'd crossed a line, so he nodded. "...Alright. Have a nice time, it was nice to meet you, Antonio." He smiled one last time before walking off.
-
Antonio blinked at the articles that the grandfather mentioned, starting to wonder what they said. He smiled awkwardly before the man left, then looked back at Lovino. "... What was that about?" He asked, hoping Lovino might tell him.
-
Lovino ran a hand through his hair, sighing tiredly. "...It's nothing. It's a long story, and you already know I'm sensitive as f--- so I'd probably start crying or some s---." he tried to ward off the memories of a nearly ruined career. "The new articles are just stupid. They think I'm having sex with every person I stand close." he sighed, looking relieved as Feli returned with wine for Lovino and water for Antonio. He thanked his brother, who nodded and quickly hurried off, giggling about giving them privacy.
-
Antonio definitely didn't want to make Lovino cry, so after he thanked Feliciano for his water, he didn't press for any more answers. "Sorry, Lovi. But maybe since they know we're dating now, they won't say it anymore."
-
Lovino managed a weak half-smile. "Maybe." he took a long sip of his wine. "I'm sorry about my family by the way, my mother's the only sane one, but unfortunately she's stuck in the kitchen most of the time." He glanced at his menu, though he'd memorized it years ago.
