Lovino managed a nervous smile, but he could already picture the tabloid articles this would lead to. His agent was going to kill him. The busy man usually only spoke to Lovino oveer the phone, and not often, but doing something like this without telling anyone might even lead to him coming to Lovino at the studio, which would not be pleasant. He wished he could be back in bed, with Antonio nuzzling his neck, but he knew he couldn't, so he did the next best thing, shyly reaching over and grabbing his hand, casting another half-hearted smile at their ties.
-
Antonio smiled when Lovino took his hand, and squeezed it lightly, still trying to reassure him that everything would be alright. The blonde woman soon moved on, and started asking more generic questions, like how long they'd been acting and what they thought of their roles. The question that Antonio liked was, "This being your first movie together, how will you celebrate?"
Antonio giggled, at first, thinking of something a little less than appropriate, then answered, "Have a party. Perhaps do some cuddling. Mostly with Lovino's cat." -
Lovino rolled his eyes and huffed. "Yeah, he likes my cat better than me. And I don't remember saying you could throw a party at my house." he nudged him with a little smile. The rest of the interview seemed to go well, Lovino managing to stay mostly upbeat and Antonio making the audience laugh and smile.
-
"You've got a cute cat," Antonio defended himself, shrugging. In no time at all, they were presented with their Ellen underwear, and then ushered off stage once the commercial break started.
-
Lovino sighed heavily, leaning against the wall as they were finally led off stage. His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he winced. "I-I've gotta take this," he managed quietly to Antonio, before pulling the phone from his pocket and answering it, flinching away from the furious shouting that immediately buzzed from the speaker.
-
Antonio regarded the phone with furrowed eyebrows, especially when the other line was shouting at Lovino. "Who's that?" He asked, mumbling. "He doesn't sound very nice."
-
"Agent," he muttered with an irritated groan. "Mad I didn't tell him about us." the line went silent for a moment, but more yelling quickly started up again. "No, I know- I just- But-" Lovino spat a few choice words under his breath, giving up on trying to defend himself.
-
"Hm," Antonio grunted, not liking the way that the man spoke to Lovino. "You should hang up on him, he doesn't sound very polite."
-
"Can't, he'll just b---- about it later if I do," he lamented. The shouting quieted, but the words got harsher, the man was apparently very upset with Lovino. "...I know. Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. I am, I know. Bye." He hung up and scowled, shoving thr phone back in his pocket and glaring at the ground.
-
Antonio puckered his lips, not liking to see Lovino sad. So, trying to make him feel better, he scooped the Italian into a hug. "I'm sorry he's so rude," he said, "I hope he calms down soon."
-
Lovino hugged him back, sighing. "Thinks he can treat me like s--- 'cause I'm his client." he muttered. "I hate him." But shockingly enough, staying in Antonio's arms for a little while really did help, and he'd calmed down almost completely. "Should we go then?"
-
Antonio let Lovino rant, knowing it would help more than anything to just let him talk. He nodded, "Yee-up," he said, lifting Lovino off the ground for a second in the hug before setting him down and releasing him.
-
Lovino yelped, not expecting to be lifted so suddenly, and he giggled softly as he was set down. The flash of a camera made the smile vanish though, and Lovino was quick to pull Antonio from the studio and away from where people could see them together.
-
Antonio didn't hesitate to follow Lovino, glad to be out of the crowded studio space. Once they were out and in the parking lot, he smiled. "That went pretty well. And i got my Ellen underwear."
-
"Si, congratulations for that." he replied sarcastically, patting his arm. "They really seemed to like you though, that's good." he added, getting into the car. He still owed Antonio lunch, and he knew exactly where they would be going.
