Nessa struggled against him, trying everything she could think of to stop him. She eventually started screaming with unintelligible sounds, probably curses and swears, silenced only by the sudden, harsh push into the dark room.
It took her eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness. Once they did, she realized it was a small, outdated bedroom. With part of her half-expecting there to be a smattering of DO NOT TOUCH signs around the room, Nessa stood still until the realized the only thing on the desk and bedsheets was an impressive layer of dust. Her fingers splayed against the wall, searching for a light switch, but found none. She reached for her bag and pulled out a tiny book of matches, glad that she'd decided to take her camping backpack, and walked around the room until she found a candle to light. She only tripped once. -
He sighed lightly and smiled at the sudden bliss of the girl not being in his precense, but soon regretted it. He was still slightly curious about why she was all the way up here, while it was raining. Then again the weather on the mountain were a bit unpredictable, but he was still curious. Slowly he started to walk down the hallway again, he'd ask the girl later.
-
(Can I change her name to Elaine. Yes I can. It's a thing now)
Elaine lit the candle and set it on the desk, then looked at the room in soft, yellow light. She'd expected something in the house to be modern, but as far as she could see, everything seemed to be incredibly old. Despite its age, it looked practically unused. For a moment, she started to wonder if the scare tactic stories were true. But she could ponder that later. Now, she needed to figure out what she'd gotten herself into. -
(lol I would have said it was fine~)
David walked further away from the room he left the girl in, wondering a bit more when he heard his stomach growl. he frowned just slightly and started wlking an opposite direction. He really needed something to eat, now. -
Elaine undressed and put on her pajamas, leaving her dress on a hanger she'd found in the wardrobe in the corner. Even if they consisted of a grubby pair of sweatpants and an old shirt, the comfortable clothing was very much welcome in the foreign setting. She then explored the room in greater detail, searching for a potential weapon. She wasn't sure how hostile the man was, and it was incredibly rude of her to even be there, but she wanted to be able to defend herself if her chances of leaving were jeopardized. There was definitely something untrustworthy about that man.
Finding nothing, she returned to her bag. Elaine found her keys, and among them, a keychain share enough to break skin with the right pressure. She also had a tiny can of pepper spray. She pocketed these items and headed for the door. -
After quickly grabbing a small snack and a sandwich for his new...guest. He'd have to get used to that maybe, but he shook his head, she wouldnt be staying long. After finding her door again, he opened it quickly, blinking slightly seeing the girl in some....well he really didnt know what. New fashion hadnt entered his mansion in a while. "I brought you food." He held up the sandwich and a glass of water.
-
She eyed him nervously for a moment, then took the sandwich and glass. She chose to ignore his expression that was likely coming from her outfit change. "Great. Can I come out now?" Elaine pushed her way past the strange man. "Oh, and do you have a desktop? I haven't been able to get able to get service out here for a while, and I need to explain to my friend that I had to stop somewhere."
-
His eyebrow raised slightly in confusion, not even bothered she walked out of the room, but more she was talking about something he didnt even know about. "Desktop...?" He tilted his head slightly at her, like how a dog would if they didnt understand. "What is..that?"
-
"Like... a computer? You don't look like a guy who'd use a laptop, and I checked my phone and couldn't find any wifi networks whatsoever." She looked down at the water. Didn't appear to be adulterated by any sort of harmful substances, so she took a sip.
-
"wifi...?" he shook his head. "I dont know what this wifi is, but I dont have it. Nor do I have desktop." He frowned slightly and muttered about the new age and their weird advances. "besides we are on a mountain, not like alot of people live up here as a result of that."
-
"Can I ask another question? Or... I guess I just did. So a few more?" There'd always been stories of a man who'd lived in the woods for decades, but never aged. Maybe she was too gullible, but parts of how this man was acting suggested that the stories could be true. It was time for the important questions. "Is there somewhere we could sit instead of just... standing here?"
-
He blinked and nodded lightly. "Sure...? Just follow me." He started walking slowly, not making a sound as he walked. He was a bit curious about these new...things the girl was talking about. As they walked, the hallways changed from old tapastries to modern art, all seperated into different catagories. finally he stopped at another door and opened it to a small sitting room, taxadermy animals were everywhere, some know and unknown adroned the walls and the floor. He walked in and sat down in a large red chair and waited for her to sit. "Ask away."
-
There was nothing Elaine could think of that was worse than taxidermy. It was the creepiest of hobbies, taking something that was killed for craft and then making art, if one could even consider it that, out of it. She sat in the chair across from him, trying to ignore the beady glass eyes staring down at her. "Uh... there was another story... it was about..." The awful corpses surrounding her were really throwing her off. "This sandwich doesn't have meat in it, does it? I'm... I'm vegetarian."
-
He saw her try to avoid the animals in the room, yes they were a bit ceepy, but this was one of his favorite sitting rooms. He glanced at the sandwich, avoiding looking at the only other techonically living thing in the room. "The boy who usually brings the food hasnt came, so I am low on things, meat is one of those things. So you are fine." He'd have to find a way to order more books up to the mountain. "is that your only question?" He had a slight amused tone to his voice, but it wast mutch to take the edge out of it.
-
"Nope." It didn't seem nearly as simple now. Are you secretly a hundred-year-old monster plotting to kill anyone who comes near your home? A question like that was probably the fastest way for her to get kicked out of his house. And based on the weather, Elaine couldn't afford that. She decided to go with a much safer route. "Who are you? For all I know, you could be a mass murderer or something, I mean..." Based on his activity earlier, she wouldn't be surprised.
