Rhyder glanced around the kitchen, wondering if there was anything else that needed doing. Noticing the popcorn's popping sound slowing down, he gestured to the microwave. "Sure, could you grab the popcorn from the microwave and dump it all into a bowl for us please? I'll get the drinks." Grabbing two glasses, he filled one with water for Sylvya and filled the other with milk for him.
-
Sylvya nodded and went to the microwave, opening it quickly so nothing would burn. Her ring clinked against the handle as she opened it, and she jumped a little at the strange sound. She glanced at the source and rolled her eyes, already knowing it would be a pain. Quickly dumping the popcorn into a large plastic bowl she found, she made her way back into the living room and set the bowl on the coffee table.
-
Rhyder was a little startled by the noise of the ring hitting the handle, but realized that nothing was wrong. Once he had the drinks in hand, he followed Sylvya to the living room, using his elbow to turn off the kitchen light as he went out. Placing the drinks on the coffee table next to the popcorn, he sat down on the left side of the couch, closest to the kitchen in case they needed anything else. Looking to the screen, he saw that the movie was called The Proposal. He hadn't seen this one, so he was curious how it was.
-
Sylvya took the right side of the couch and hit play. She ate maybe three handfuls of popcorn throughout the entire movie, and had deemed it a pretty decent watch by the time it was over. It was funny and amusing, yet thought-provoking at the same time.
-
Rhyder barely touched the popcorn during the movie, he was so engrossed in it. It was interesting and funny at the same time, and parts of it felt similar to his and Sylvya's relationship. Sylvya kept running through his mind during the movie, and he found himself glancing at her often. He found himself wishing that they were closer and he could hold her while they watched. After it was over, Rhyder stood up and stretched. Turning to Sylvya, he smiled at her. "Thanks for picking that movie, it was good!"
-
Sylvya smiled up at him and nodded. "Yeah.. Lucky pick, eh?" She stood up and covered a yawn. Frowning at the still mostly-full bowl of popcorn, she picked it up and tasted a piece. By this time, of course, it was cold and a little stale. "Trash? Or..bagged and toss some cheese flavoring on it." She hadn't had cheesy popcorn before, and didn't really know how to make it. It sounded about right, though.
-
Rhyder glanced at the popcorn and shrugged. "Um, I don't know. I'd hate to waste food.. Adding the cheese flavor for next time sounds good to me." He felt himself yawn, realizing that it probably would be a good idea to sleep soon after taking care of the leftover popcorn. Grabbing the said popcorn, he took it to the kitchen and put it into a bag. He had never done this before, but what Sylvya had said made sense. Peeking back into the living room, he looked to Sylvya. "How much cheese flavoring would you like on it? I'm good with any amount."
-
Sylvya looked at him in surprise, not really expecting to do this now. She was still a little full from dinner, and she had filled whatever space she had left in her stomach with popcorn. She was stuffed and wanted to sleep. Shrugging, she meandered into the kitchen. "I dunno... Whatever looks good to you, I guess."
-
-
Nodding, Rhyder looked at the bag. No matter how much he thought about it, he couldn't decide how much to add, so he placed it down on the counter for later. Yawning again, he glanced at Sylvya and could see she was pretty tired. Shrugging, he gestured in the direction of the bedroom. "Would you like to sleep now? It has been a long day for you, and I'm sure that nap didn't give you much energy to run on.." He felt himself yawn again and shrugged, smiling at her. "Guess I could use some sleep too, honestly."
-
Seeing Rhyder yawn, of course she yawned as well. She shrugged and tried to brush off her tiredness. "Eh, it gave me enough energy..." She glanced towards the bedroom, to bed, to rest, and yawned again. She nodded slowly and sighed a little. "Yeah.. that would probably be a good idea.. It has been a day." She stuck a lid on the bowl and slid it away from the edge of the counter. She pocketed her hands and shuffled her feet a little, not really wanting to be the first to admit defeat by walking to the bedroom.
(Okay so every time I read 'yawn,' I did ~.~ ) -
Seeing Sylvya's hesitation, Rhyder decided to make the first move to sleep and started towards the bedroom. It took all his effort to not hug Sylvya or grab her arm as he walked past her. He had to fake yawn and cover his mouth to keep his arms under control as he passed her. Once he reached the bedroom, he quickly grabbed his sweats and walked into the bathroom to change and brush his teeth. The time he had spent with Sylvya that day had been fun, and he couldn't help but wonder if their relationship would be like in The Proposal, where they eventually would fall in love with each other. Rhyder knew that he had been feeling that way towards Sylvya, but wasn't quite sure what she thought of him.
(Right? I did too! Yawning really is very contagious...) -
Sylvya noticed that Rhyder's chest didn't move that much when he yawned, and absentmindedly wondered if it was just a little yawn, or if he had faked it. Wait, she was staring at his chest.. She jerked her head away and trailed after him to the bedroom. After changing into pajamas in the closet like she had done the night before, she sat on the bed and waited for Rhyder to be done in the bathroom so she could brush her teeth. She sighed and looked over to his side of the bed, distinctly remembering how they had been when they woke up that morning. It was a strange thing, this predicament they were in. Kind of interesting though, and fun in its way. Sylvya wasn't sure if she wanted things to go back to normal or for things to continue the way they were now. It certainly was amusing, to say the least.
-
Once Rhyder finished brushing his teeth, he looked at himself in the mirror and sighed. Sylvya was constantly on is mid, and though he didn't mind it, he was still a bit unsure about what would become of their relationship. Shaking his head, he pushed the thought from his mind and quickly changed into his sweatpants, leaving his shirt on for now as usual. Exiting the bathroom, he knocked on the bedroom door before entering, just in case. Looking at Sylvya as he walked into the room, he smiled and pointed towards the bathroom. "Bathroom's free to use now."
-
Sylvya jerked herself back to reality when Rhyder knocked, and quickly got up to leave. Her face flushed from seeing Rhyder like that, and she used sarcasm to cover her embarrassment. "Oh..it is? Couldn't tell.." She escaped to the bathroom and shut the door behind her. Going over to the sink, she stared at herself in the mirror and sighed. She hated being sarcastic with him..he didn't deserve it and she felt terrible. He shouldn't have to suffer just because she was embarrassed; that wasn't fair. She groaned a little and brushed her teeth, opting to leave her hair down, like the night before. She waited a few more minutes to compose herself before going back to the bedroom.
