(Zane, I don't want to pry, but no, it's not. It's really not okay. You don't have to talk about that, though, I wont make you. We can talk about other things. But I'm still gonna give you my email. Be warned, it's really lame, I made it when I was, like, ten.

Mhm.)
"..Are you hungry?" He attempted to pretend that this was a slightly normal situation. "We can make some sandwiches. Well, I can make you one. I don't eat meat," Olan admitted, smiling down at the boy. He really was just a boy, and Olan, in ways, was reminded of himself a few years ago. Small and frail, unable to protect himself. -
(Mkai.)
Landon nodded, and gave the man a small smile. He really was hungry. He hadn't anything to eat since yesterday morning, before he was kidnapped. Kidnapped. That made him remember what Olan had done to his husband Manu. Landon looked down and fought off tears that were sure to come. "Yes, that would be nice." -
Olan nodded, and almost held out a hand. He didn't, though, and gave him a small smile before heading towards the tiny kitchen that was stocked with meat, cheese, and bread. Taking out a cube of cheese and a loaf, he sliced off some bread and, cheese, making a small, simple sandwich for himself. "Help yourself."
-
Landon followed after him and took out bread and ham, making himself a sandwitch. After taking a small bite, he looks up at Olan. "How long have you been here? On this ship?"
-
"On this ship? Hardly a year. On a ship? Since I was born. My father was a captain. Not a pirate, but a captain. He wanted to sail the world.. But then we got attacked. And they killed my father, mother, and two younger sisters. Took me, Samuel, and Alice. Alice.. Was the oldest. She's gone now, but.. She was the reason the captain of that ship didn't kill us." He sighed, staring at the wall.
-
Landon listened to everything the man had to say, hanging on to every word. He chewed on his bottom lip, intrigued by what he had to say. "I'm sorry..about your family. Is..is Samuel good company?" He asked, shifting his weight uncomfortably.
-
"Oh, Samuel's the best brother ever. He's too much like Dad, though. Hates harming people," He confided, and sighed. "And he never sleeps in the cabin." Olan then turned his attention to his food, picking at it thoughtlessly.
-
"Why dosen't he sleep in the cabins?" Landon asked, curious. He finished off his sandwitch and shoved his hands in the back pockets of his jeans."I'm sorry if I'm asking way too many questions, I'm just really curious." He took one hand out of his jean pockets and tugged on the sleeve of his shirt. "About you, that is."
-
"It's fine," He smiled, nodding. Curiosity was perfectly welcomed. "He dislikes being closed in. Makes him feel cornered."
-
"Cornered." Landon repeated after him, clicking his tounge. "I guess that makes sense.." He thought of another question to ask, but came up with nothing.
-
f--- man sorry
"..For a couple years, we went on, living on that ship," He continued, though he hadn't been asked to. "And then Alice got knocked up, and Samuel killed the captain and we took it over. Pillaged a couple ships and small towns. Alice had her baby, it died, and she died with it. Found her body in the bed of that ship one day. Samuel couldn't stand to stay there. So we bought her," He mumbled, trailing a hand over the wall of the ship, "And left that ship to the crew." -
no worries~
Landon chewed on his bottom lip, listening. There seemed to be a whole lot of death in this story, and Landon wondered what would happen when he got off the ship in two weeks. He had no one to go to, seeing as his husband was dead and wasn't close friends with anyone else. Landon looked up at the taller man warily. "You..You won't hurt me..Will you..?" Landon felt like that might have offended him, but it was too late. -
Olan stayed silent for a while, staring at him. The boy was younger, and smaller, and frail. He himself had been like that before he had put on some muscle. "No. Never, not intentionally. Unless I'm drunk. When I'm drunk, you stay away. And if I go after you, you get Samuel. If he's drunk.. Well, he cries when he's drunk, so deal with him," He laughed a bit, glancing around the room, anywhere but the boy, a bit of guilt washing over him. "I'm sorry about your husband. I thought.. I'm sorry."
-
"Drunk? Oh. I guess you guys do have a lot of alcohol on this ship.." Landon smiled slightly at the man, confused why Olan was avoiding looking at him. At first he thought it was because of the question, but then realized. "Oh." Landon looked down at his bare feet, clicking his tounge. "It's..you didn't..Hm." Landon looked back up at the man, eyebrows raised. "I wanna explore the ship. Can I?"He was attempting to change the subject, but he really did want to explore the ship.
-
He thought on the man's request, and nodded. "The deck and the one below. Not the one under that, that's where the men sleep, and I really can't control what they do down there," He explained, turning to look him in the eye. "And, wherever you go, you stay within yelling range of me, Samuel, and Charles. He's the one with the really curly beard and hook hand." He mimed a hook hand just then, wrinkling his nose.
