C1 and his husband were married- Illegally, of course, since in their village, same-sex marriage was heavily frowned upon. Still, they married in secret, and lived together for a full five years.
And then everything was ruined.
Living on the coast had always been dangerous. However, the people thought they were well guarded against the many pirates that roamed the sea, pillaging towns, stealing livestock and women, killing men. They never dreamed it could happen to them, but it did.
C2 is the first mate of a well-known pirate ship. He's good with a sword, and quick to kill without question or guilt. When his ship docks at the shores of a small village, he has no problem killing whole families. When he reaches C1's house, he kills his husband, and then, mistaking C1 for a pants-wearing, flat-chested girl, kidnaps him.
There you go. There's the original. Apart from my one with Mia, this was my favorite plot. -

Olan Vey

As the first mate on the ship, he's well known to be the captain, Samuel Vey's younger brother. Though they're much alike in appearance, the Vey brother's are extremely different. For one, Samuel isn't gay, and doesn't care for dressing as a captain, so Olan takes care of that for him. They share the cabin, but where Samuel sleeps with the wheel, Olan hardly ever leaves the comfort of the room at night.
And then there's the other thing- Samuel isn't very ruthless. Olan, however, is a killing machine, who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, and help his brother fulfill their dead father's dream of traveling the seas. -
Landon Turez

Landon is just another man to the people that live in his village, but im the privacy of his own home he is the loving husband of Manu Samwell. The village does not approve of gay marriage, so they keep it secret. Landon is very curious and is often outside of his small home, exploring. Manu makes all the money and usually comes home late. Landon can be kinda shy around strangers, but is a firecracker around close friends like his husband.
Landon loves to laugh and normally laughs at inappropriate times, such as funerals or when discussing something very serious. Though he looks very young and frail, he can be quite stubborn when needed to be.

He loved the ocean.
The way that it made his hair damn with mist, and left the heavy fragrance of salt on him. How the warm air felt like being caressed by a lover. Mos of all, though, he loved what it had to offer- Freedom. On this ship, he could go anywhere he pleased, so as long as his brother allowed him to turn the sails that direction. And, right now, his direction lined up perfectly with a small coastal village. His brother had made a play for it to be a peaceful landing- For them to buy what they take, trade, and leave the natives alone. However, it had been a bit dull lately, and apart from a small storm a week back, Olan was feeling the lack of excitement heavily. And, so, he had refused his brother's idea, and changed his mind. This would not be a peaceful landing. Half of the crew would stay with the ship, and the other half would taste the bounty first-hand. Though Samuel would stay aboard, Olan was giddy with the idea as he began getting himself ready.
When they pulled into the dock, Samuel handed Olan his own sword, nodding lightly. With a small, "Take care, little brother," He sent them away. The man swung himself off the ship before the board was down, and was off, heading towards the residential area of the town, hand on sword hilt.
