Landon chewed on his bottom lip as the man continued to clean his wounds and sat up straight when he was told to do so. Landon rolled his eyes as Samuel spoke. "How ironic, I'm in a room for prisoners. Aren't I just a prisoner? And why do I have the lock the door at night? We're on a ship, not in some village." Landon knew he was probably asking way too many questions at once, but he was curious.
-
"Arms up," He muttered, listening to the boys questions. Carefully, he began to answer them. "No, you're not. You would have been, had you been a girl. And, because it's not just a ship, it's a pirate ship. And they go months without seeing a women, and, at some point, a small, frail little boy begins to look very acceptable to them. Trust me, I know. I wasn't always captain."
-
Landon obeyed, putting his arms up over his head. "What does it matter if its a pirate ship?" He bit down on his lip. Landon,
being the rebel he was, decided he wasn't going to lock his door tonight, just to test this theory. -
He wrapped the man's torso all the way down to his waist, sighing. "Olan may have refused you because you weren't a girl, but there's other's who wont. They'll f--- you regardless of your gender, age, and regardless of if you want it or not. So, lock. Your. Door."
-
Landon rolled his eyes and huffed. "I don't believe that. But whatever. I can do what I want. It's not like it matters anymore." He shifted a little, uncomfortable.Landon wwasn't the type of person that liked to obey others, and he surely was not going to start now.
-
Samuel sighed, and stood up. "Do as you please, then. As I said, you're not a prisoner. Lunch is at twelve." With that, he left.
-
Landon waited until the man before getting up and searching for clothing. He found a slightly too big for him gray long sleeve button down and a pair of jeans that were a little too small. He put them on anyways and left the room barefoot.
-
The crew was bustling on the deck. If they weren't working, they were sword fighting, placing bets on the sword fitting. Yelling and cheering it on. And, the two who were engaged in it just happened to be Olan and Samuel.
-
Landon walked over to where there was a loud crowd standing and cheering on something Landon couldn't see. Even standing on his tiptoes, Landon wasn't as tall as the men and couldn't look over them. He pushed through to the front of the crowd, where he saw what looked to be a sword fighting competition. Landon saw Olan and watched, intrigued.
-
Olan was laughing, he had always been better with a sword than his brother, but Samuel was faster, and he had clearly been practicing. Already, he had knocked Olan's weapon away, but had allowed him to pick it up. Sometimes, Sanuel was too much of a gentlemen.
-
Landon was actually enjoying watching the the fight, smiling slightly as it went on. He watched with big curious eyes as Samuel let Olan pick his sword back up, wondering why he had done that. Landon was about to turn to the man next to him when he felt someone grab the back of his shirt, tugging the boy backwards.
-
(Hey, what's going on with you? You're clearly not alright.)
The man who was tugging him backwards wasn't noticed by Samuel, as he was leering at his brother, tempting him to take a swipe. Olan also failed to see what was happening, at first, anyways. When he did, though, he dropped his sword, moving to grab Landon and yank him forward, bringing a fist up to punch whomever was trying to pull him away. He felt like a dog protecting a bone, and was tempted to growl, "Mine." -
(I'm fine, I promise. How are you?)
Landon gasped and struggled to pull away, but he was too weak to do anything. He was thankful when Olan dropped his sword and came towards him, reaching out. The man let go of Landon's elbow and shoved the boy foward aggressively. Landon lurched foward and clung to Olan's shirt, eyes wide in fear. -
(No, you're not, Zane. And, whatever happened, when you're ready, you /need/ to talk to someone about it. Do you have my email?
I'm perfectly fine.)
Olan wrapped an arm around the man's back, glancing around to try and figure out who had grabbed him. Unable to do so, he stepped back, pulling Landon with him. "If I catch anyone touching him," He warned, narrowing his eyes, "I'll kill you. I swear, I will." With that, the crowd started to break apart, and Olan let go of the boy, staring at him. "You alright?" -
(I am. I swear. And no, I don't have your email. There's nothing to talk about.
That's good.)
Landon nodded slowly, but continued to look around with wide eyes, afraid of someone else coming and grabbing him. "I'm fine." No matter what he said, his voice came out shaky and his face was pale. Landon ran a hand through his orangish blonde hair warily, and looked up at the taller man. "Thank you."
