Ann helped clean up and watched him curiously as he grabbed the bags. "Who's Rose?"
-
Landon shrugged and slung his bookbag over his shoulders. He unzipped the duffel bag and threw on a soccer jersey. Under his pants were shorts, so he didn't bother going into his room to take the pants on. Landon slipped on his shinguards and cleats, looking up at Ann. "Looks like you have the cellar to yourself today."
-
She watched and nodded solemnly, looking around "guess so.. Uh, good luck with your..soccer thing.." She walked over to the coffee table and grabbed her book, sitting down. Every now and then, she would glance out of the corner of her eye at Landon, watching curiously. Guys' private life was a new thing.
-
Landon picked up his duffel bag and looked at Ann. "You know..I could let you leave right now.." He twirled the cellar key around his finger, running his other hand through his dark hair. "I don't know why father trusted me with this."
-
Ann nodded. "I was actually going to try to leave when you left, but if he left you with that.." She shook her head and went back to her book. "I'm staying here. I'm not gonna let you get in trouble for my escape."
-
Landon shrugged. "I'm used to it, but if you want to stay, so be it." He bit his lip and started walking up the wooden stairs. "I'll be back in two hours. Do whatever~" He walked out of the cellar, not bothering to lock the cellar door shut.
-
She nodded, watching the door long after he left. She set her book down and sighed, still staring at the door, at freedom. Slowly, she got up and walked to the door. Turning the knob, she slowly walked out of the cellar, leaving the door wide open. She tuned and walked to the front door, hesitating at the handle.
-
Landon got into his car, a newer, red Mustang that his mother had given it. He quickly drove off towards the park where his soccer game was being held. Landon turned up the radio all the way, humming as he drove.
-
She took a deep breath and turned the handle, quickly stepping outside. She didn't shut the door- who knows what sort of security the man had?- but took a deep breath of fresh air and leaned against the side of the house. She looked around the outside world for, what she assumed would be the last time. Ann knew she wasn't going to run away, not after how Landon treated her. Scared, yes. But she wasn't stupid. He would find her again, she knew. It'd just be worse after that. She took several bore breaths of air and sat down on the porch, door still slightly open.

Sorry. I'm blind :c
Landon finally arrived at the soccer field ten minutes before the game was to start. He warmed up on the side of the field alone, as he so often did. The coach came up to him right before the game was to start. "Landon, you're kicked off the team." Landon stood up. "What?" The coach crossed his arms. "We found someone else to play goalie." Landon stood there, taken back. "But I'm your star goalie!" The coach shook his head. "This guy might not be as good but he's older. You're the youngest on the team and I can't have that." Landon sighed and grabbed his duffel bag, checking his watch as he went back to the car. It was almost 9 o'clock. -
It's fine... I have to sleep now though :P so goodnight.
Ann closed her eyes as she leaves against the side of the house. She always thought she was good at sensing when bad things were going to happen, but she didn't think it would go to this level. So...mother to two full grown men. That's a first. She sighed and listened to the noises of outside. So far, it wasn't so bad. Aside from not knowing what Charles wanted, it was better than home. Plenty of alone time, quiet, decent food. She made a face. "That's a fine way to think.." -
Night.
Landon hopped into his fiery red Mustang and started it up.His house was only a couple minutes away from the soccer field, so Landon was pull in up into his paved driveway in no time. He got out holding his black duffel bag, noticing that Ann was on the front porch. -
Even with her eyes closed, Ann could hear that it was a nice car. When she heard it slow and get closer, she opened her eyes and tried to register the idea of one of the guys having a Mustang. A spilt second later, she jerked herself off the ground and was about to retreat inside when Landon stepped out. She stopped midway- sort of in a crouch- and eyed him curiously. "Back awful soon... Did you beat them that bad?" She asked with a smile, hoping he wouldn't be upset with her for sitting outside.
